I like the simplicity of this kit just add can in hot water add sugar stir so everything is completely mixed add water until 6 gallons and ferment. It tastes really good,I prefer this Irish red ale over a couple more expensive kits I've bought. This will be my regular beer I make.

I added extra citrus hops (1.5oz) and 1.5lb golden light DME (instead of sugar) to this wort. Made a tad over 4 gallons - turned out very good.

I've been making home brew for many years. I've never had one that wouldn't ferment, until this one. After 4 packets of yeast, including the one with the kit & a new packet off the store shelf, nothing. After the first 3 packets, I even added nutrient. Per directions, I added the 1K of corn sugar. Shook the primary numerous times, nothing. I don't know if preservative was added at the company or what but I wasted time & money. I will go back to my Munton's, which has never failed me & never buy this one again.

Instructions call for sugar. Do yourself a favor and splurge for some DME (dry malt extract).Not crazy about the pre-hopped mix, but it smelled okay. Added an ounce of Cascade hops for some extra character. Went under 5 gallons of water to make a stronger beer.Wish they said what kind of yeast this was. Plain silver foil packet. Whatever it is, it took off like a rocket after just a couple hours. So far, so good.

Seems to me all the other beers that I used to use have gone up 1/3 of the price now they have force me to this product??? It is a great product, but something tells me it will go up also is this an Amazon scheme to force you to try and buy other products?? if so, I will be shopping elsewhere thank you???

I am drinking this right now. This is my 4th extract kit and is my favourite so far. Really smooth. Did not take long. I started sampling it about 2 weeks after bottling and it was already good. Now a couple more weeks in and it’s very nice. Highly recommend.
