I don't know who they think they're kidding with this stuff, but I ordered 2 black 3/4" strips of this... which they claim is genuine top grain leather. It is most definitely not. It smells wrong, it feels wrong, it LOOKS wrong. I've got it pictured against a piece of furniture that is ACTUAL full grain leather (white in color). Whatever faux (fake) leather plastic stinky nonsense this is it is NOT what it was advertised to be, which meant I wasn't able to complete the project I needed the actual quality of top grain for and will have to find a different source for the genuine quality I'm looking for. This was a waste of money and time. If you're buying it just be aware you're paying higher dollar for inferior FAKE leather product... which even if you don't care, you might as well just look up faux leather strips and pay less.

This leather is shiny on the surface which means the underside isn't as soft and is a little rough. It has a nice leather scent and appears strong. I personally don't recommend using it against your skin.

This is a nice long piece of strip leather with a glazed top finish. It's very easy to cut and shape to the length that you want. I used this to cut into small straps to attach pieces of lightweight foam armor together. I had no difficulty finishing the edges and rounding the corners with my standard leather tooling kit. I also stamped a couple of patterns on some of the pieces with good success. Keep in mind it's very thin so you won't get a deep impression.

This is a high quality top grain leather strap. The black tanned professional quality leather is 1" wide by 72" long. It is 2mm thick and is most useful for tooling, hobbyists, workshop and arts & crafts. The uniform color has few blemishes without any holes, scars or scratches. This is a great product to have around the house for a wide variety of uses. It is relatively cheap but high in quality.Would recommend this to anyone.

This is the roughest faux leather I've ever seen. It is too thick to punch & looks very cheap. Will not buy again.
