I purchased this lock for Lock sport. It's a challenging lock to pick For novice lock pickers. Many Master locks can be opened in a few seconds with a bypass tool, while this ABUS is much trickier to get open. This is an affordable lock that I would feel adequately secure using. It has good build quality with good level of tolerances for the money.

This Abus 55/40 is a solid little brass lock for low to medium security applications. It has one standard and three spool pins to make picking more difficult and a hardened shackle for cut reisitance however, It is subject to an overlift attack and as such, is not for high security applications.For those into locksport, this is an orange belt lock. The lock gives great feedback when picking and has nice, tight tolerances.

Fits in the hole of the hitch pin for bike rack to lock rack in place. Seems well made and reasonably priced.

If you pick locks, these are just great, the have awesome feedback and can be opened by SPP or with a city rake even though they have spool pin in them.

I shopped alot of products so you won't have to. People are finding faults with all these locks, like easy to pick or opens with a hammer hit..If there was one perfect lock all the other companies would be out of business, so obviously, there is no perfect lock. This one will not secretly change the combo over night and it will not rust in a month.It's an economic answer to your worries, so buy it. It works fine and is very strong.

Great lock for its size. ABUS makes some of the best locks on the market. Solid overall lock, pretty darn secure. I will be honest with you, the key & pins in this lock are most likely more secure than the lock on your deadbolt of your house. Your average person isnt going to pick it open.I bought mine for LockSport, has security pins, unique small keyway and its been a great little lock!

Abus have a very good reputation and that doesn't change with this lock. Great for the gym of whatever you need a solid padlock for. I trust this much more than a Master Lock or any other of the big names. I might be 10$, but you don't have to worry about your valuables when you leave. The bar also aligns towards the hole with a magnet or something, nice extra touch. Smooth internals, no jamming.
