I fitted the coil and the bike ran for a few minutes and then cut out. It now does not start with the accel coil but starts and runs with the OE coil. I am disappointed to say the least. I hope that I can get a replacement from Amazon. 5 STARS to Amazon I am an international customer and the defective coil has been replaced and in only 5 days. Well done Amazon.

The coil is probably great if someone could match the components correctly. The listing said, "Ideal for 12 volt points triggered ignitions," but the box said, "For electronic ignition only." The ohms of resistance has to match the system, so a little homework is necessary. I was able to determine the that the resistance of this coil was 2.3 ohms; a points system requires 5 ohms. So I thought I might keep this coil and buy an electronic swap out; only to discover that I might have to spend another $300.00 to match this coil. The listing should explain properly. If you have points, I believe the ACCEL 140406 coil will work.
