This is an awesome tool! I bought an older 5th Wheel Camper. The Anode Rod needed replaced but the threads to the hot water heater were damaged. I used this tool to define the current thread pattern so it would allow the new rod to thread and tighten properly. It saved me from having to replace the hot water heater! I referred to a YouTube video on how to properly use it and I was done in an hours time. I didn’t rush it. After cleaning out the tank then checking for leaks, I was very pleased with the results! It did the job needed! It cost half the price through this company on Amazon compared to a local vender! I would highly recommend it!

The tap is made from 2 different steels that are friction welded together. While using this tap, the tap broke at the friction weld. It was obvious that it was a manufacturing defect. The threads that were cut had good clean edges. Hopefully the defect is only a 1 off occurrence.
