Eccentric Design, ISO 15488:2003(E)
The inside of the ER collet nut is intentionally designed like off-centering to help mount the ER collet much easier. It is in accordance with the requirements listed in ISO 15488:2003(E). If it is made symmetrical, the ER collet with the diameter larger than the inside size of the collet nut cannot be installed.
Assemble
Insert the ER collet into the nut at an angle. Lock it onto the eccentric groove of the collet nut and push it in. (Insert the cutter right after the step, before connect it to the holder/chuck/arbor.)
Inspection
Inspect the RPM of the ER collet, ER collet nut, ER collet holder/chuck/arbor, etc.
Dissemble
Take out the tool bit, press the end of the ER collet until the collet off the position. Push it out of the nut. (after take out the nut out of the holder.)

We use drills in our CNC lathe all the time. This holder uses ER20 collets and has a 3/4" shank. The fit and finish of this collet chuck is really nice. The threads are nice and smooth and the collets fit in it just as they should.Concentricity / runout is really good. It can vary depending on your collets used. I got a runout of 0.0005" with our 1/8" collet. I tested a 1/4" collet and it ran out about 0.0002". This will very depending on your collets. The tool itself, when checked, had almost a zero runout on the front taper and the shank OD. Just as good as any other collet chuck we have.Great product for the price and we will purchase again when needed.

Accuracy is correct. Excellent tool, great quality. To those having issues, check your 5C collets. This chuck exposed a bad collet of mine.

Nice extension but no flat on it. If your going to use it in a set screw application you may have to take it to the mill first.
