I am still giving this a 5 star review, but the last two i purchased came in as loaded 6l90 drums. I rebuild them as well so it's not such a big deal to me. Just make sure you check the part number that arrives, ( i did not, just put them on the shelf). Compare the overall size to the original, or you will get a surprise when you attempt to install bell housing. i have bought 4 others over the years that came in and worked flawlessly. Alway's compare the old drums height with the new one. I normally just rebuild my own, unless time is a factor. No Ruston them either btw

I had ordered another from another site, but it came with the correct part number, but the 6l90 drum.That confused the heck out of me for a few minutes when checking end play.Then i remembered that the 90 has a longer drum...So I ordered this one as a replacement.What I received was the correct 6l80 drum, and in a GM sealed box.This one didn't have any rust spots, much better the other one!No issues, but just like the other drum, i noticed some hanging while doing some air checks.GM assembles these things pretty much dry.So you will also want to soak the clutches in oil before final assembly.I also bought the sonnax billet piston to drop in there.Better safe than sorry as this is for a boat hauler.If you do the piston upgrade, then its just one more snap ring to lube up the lower piston.
