I attempted to install this pulley with the proper tool and it went on 90% of the way and stopped and would not move with 3/16†to go. I removed it and checked everything and did not see any issues. Cleaned the inner hub of the pulley and the shaft of the pump and tried it again. Same results. Took it back apart and cleaned the shaft of the pump with fine grit sand paper to make sure there were no hidden burrs. I tried again with the same failed results. Took it back apart and accidently dropped the pulley. It dropped a few inches and hit the car’s cross member, and then, of course, fell the 2 feet to the floor and put 2 chips in the outer flange of the cheap plastic. At the point I figured the pulley will be replaced but I am going to figure out why it won’t go on. I used a brake hone and gave the inner hub about 15 seconds of hone time. This time the pulley went all the way on correctly. There must have been some small flaw in the hub the hone took care of. I am going to find a replacement that is better of quality material.

I installed this 3 months ago on my ls3. Fit perfect and worked perfect. However I needed to remove it to replace the oil pump.I have all the proper pulley removal tools I used a pulley removal tool made for gm power steering that grabs the metal flange near the shaft. It wouldn't budge The pulley was frozen in place. There was no sign of corosion but over the next day I tried liquid wrench, Heat, impact and other methods to try to loosen the pulley, nothing worked. Eventually the pulley removal tool ripped off the metal flange from the pulley (metal was too soft)I ended up having to use a die grinder and cutting through the plastic pulley in order to remove the pump. I then carefully cut the pulley off of the shaft. (To save time I should have just replaced the pump)I will find another pulley model to install before replacing it.

AFAIK, the C5 corvette is the only one with a unique shaft diameter from other LS power steering and this was perfect.

Come up when looking for a pully for my brothers camaro. Pully was way to big. More Amazon's fault than the sellers for saying it would fit the car
