Discovered the vent in my old NP246 was not only plastic, but MIA from the previous owners transmission installation. Spend a couple bucks more on the steel line- it is cheap insurance. Went right in as if it was factory, but being a Genuine GM part I'm not surprised and very happy

Works like it should. Made out of aluminum. Original part was thicker steel.
