Excellent. Fits my '91 K1500 with 5 speed manual transmission (5LM60/NV3500) perfectly. More importantly, it actually works as intended.Standard Motor Products sells an equivalent switch that I have been battling for several years. I had given up and resigned myself to reversing out of parking spots carefully with NONOP reverse lights.Buy this instead of the one from Standard Motor Products - those either don't actually jumper the pins when the ball is depressed or they start jumpering current to ground whenever the ball is depressed, which blows the fuse for the circuit. I even had the mating face of one of the Standard Motor Products units turned down at a local machine shop so the ball would protrude farther into the transmission and get depressed far enough to jumper the pins - only to have it start shorting current to ground and blowing the fuse several months later. Installation of this AC Delco switch brought an end to an incredibly frustrating problem with the Standard Motor Products units not working correctly.

After reading a suggestion on the s-10 forums that said to insert a paper clip into the connector I was able to diagnose that it was a faulty sensor.My 1/2" deep socket was too long to fit in the transmission well but auto zone had a 3/8" drive 22mm socket that fit over the switch while giving me enough room to fit a ratchet in. A wrench is this case won't work because of the casting surrounding the switch by the way but maybe with an offset wrench you can get it out.Reverse lights work now! Although they aren't very bright even with LED bulbs. Just a poor design on these trucks.

An after market part was purchased and broke after a month so this AC Delco one was purchased and it no works perfect now with no further problems. The truck that this went in has had many parts replaced by me and I use all AC Delco parts and never have any problems problems.

The definition says it doesn’t fit a 1996 Chevy Cheyenne manual transmission truck… but it does. Tried Oreillys standard brand and Autozones duralast brand switches…. Neither one worked… my old standard ignition switch kept blowing my turn signal back up light fuse….. This AC Delco worked like a charm…. Works great. At first I thought it did not work , but I checked again this morning. DUH , I had only looked at one side of the rear . One bulb is out lol
