This kit was a perfect replacement for the worn out bushings on my steering rack. Everything fit perfectly. One of the best features is that the press bushings in this kit are split, so you can easily insert each half by hand, and then "lock" the halves in place with the center piece. After cutting and pressing out my old bushings, I cleaned up the mount surfaces with emory cloth, put a little lube on the new bushings, and pushed them in by hand. Perfect fit, easy install, and now I have noticeably tighter steering!

The steering rack on my '96 4Runner was moving back and forth when turning the wheel. These bushings fit perfectly and went in easily. The hardest part was removing the old ones. Torquing the bolts to spec was a pain too, but it was worth it. The rack is now solid and the steering feels much better. I was pleased to see "Made in USA" on the bushings.

2000 4runner limited 2wd Fixed my rack from moving everywhere so they definitely do their job. On the smaller bushing I had to grind off about 4mm because the bushing was too tall but no big deal!

My 2001 Toyota Tacoma was unable to align properly, and was told my the alignment shop that I need my rack bushings and tie rods replaced. So I purchased these 3 rack bushings, as well as some Moog inner and outer tie rods. Do the research for installation and proper torque specs. It is definitely some work, but doable if you're somewhat mechanically inclined. The truck is properly aligned now, and steering is good.

The product fit great with a little spray lube on the 2 sleeve bushings,but didn’t come with the large washer that goes between the rack and cross-member, which is an essential part to finish the job properly. Lucky for me I had some laying around from an old construction job.
