Not everyone uses pellet stoves. But after a while, the gasket for the stove doors do wear out, get grimy and can get damaged. No gasket lasts forever. This is an inexpensive option to swap out with. Cut it carefully and it will serve your needs for another few seasons.I recommend a solid ceramic knife to cut this. Just seems to cut better than a basic steel one regardless of sharpness.Price is decent, holds up well!

Purchased this to replace a carbonized double rope gasket on my fireplace door. Since this is a thicker and wider 1/2" gasket I was able to apply a single layer row instead of the two rows we had with the previous gasket. I think this should work better but only time will tell. With 30 feet I have plenty of spare gasket for future replacements as these eventually wear out due to the heat and smoke of the fireplace. I don't know if the high temp silicone tube will preserve but if it does I'm covered for the next several years. So far no smoke leaking out into the living room with the damper sending smoke its way.
