While more expensive than some electronic devices, this dimmer does have a high quality fit and finish. The feel of the rotary action of the dimmer offers a light resistance when turned, which contributes to the feeling it is a quality item. Similarly, the brushed metal faceplate does not have a cheap feel to it at all. It works well for me dimming some 12 V LED lights on my vehicle. This is a very low amperage application, and the cheaper dimmer may have worked, but where you will be changing the setting fairly often, I think it is worth it to buy a higher quality item like this one.

Would have loved to use this switch but can’t. I ordered 5 of them that are now too late to return. We put 1/4†walls in our camper and realized this switch is too small. Why was this detail not in the listing and product specifications?

Installed this in our camper on a COB 12v light strip about 48 inches long, and it dims them really nicely. Has a nice positive click when you turn it off fully, and has a good range of brightness from almost off to blinding. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the is a very (and I mean extremely) low buzz/hum when it's below full brightness. I have to assume that this is due to the nature of the PWM controller itself, and it's possible that I could reduce the noise by installing a box lined with foam around the backside of the switch.Solid device for the price in my opinion.

I found this dimmer switch to work perfectly with some 12v electronics that support PWM dimming, I also found it had solid tactile feel and doesn't feel cheap, and that the finish was about what I'd expect as well. Not much else to this product, works as advertised.

I used this to dim lights in my boat, and it works pretty good for that. The plate and knob look sleek, the wires are good copper, no complaints.Love it!

Perfect to add LED's to an RV. Just wire to a 12v source and wire in your LED strips and it can completely change the look and feel of your RV with minimal effort.

Compact PWM dimmer control that has a click off position able retrofit an existing switch or added in series to current on/off switch.Comes with an black brushed aluminum plate that can be used or removed (threaded shaft). The plate offers plenty of coverage area for support to secure it to paneling.Ground wire required in a addition to switched +12V from existing light circuit. May be a consideration for where locating the switch that a ground is readily available at that point.Seeing many of these RV use a handful of the similar rocker switches, it would have been nice to have a couple of plastic mounting adapters to optionally mount the dimmer in the existing on/off switch location. It's compact enough and switches fully off so as to be able to replace an existing switch rather than adding another one. See picture for example.

This is a nice 12VDC LED dimmer, and can also control smaller 12V fans too. I like that the knob has a true off setting, which completely disconnects power to the load, and the dimmer has a very good range, offering incandescent-like dimming as long as the LEDs have no driver or regulation to interfere with the dimmer.
