Nice and bright. Works great with 3xAA 4.5V battery pack putting out 4.5V. Not sure how long it will last but if necessary I can upgrade to C batteries. Also works with a usb charger plug. No switch so good if you want it to turn on and off via remote or smart plug etc.If you buy these to plug into a TV or other device with usb port - not all ports have enough power to power devices - only to slow charge them or use as a media storage. My TV has 2 usb ports and only 1 is marked as putting out 5V. The other one only puts out half the amount, not enough to power anything.Works great with RF remote I purchased separately to turn on/off, dimming, and also some special effects modes. I think it was like $7 for a 2-pak of them. This strip will also light up submerged in water even though it looks like it has bare copper pads but they are plastic coated. I am using on my RC vehicles including underwater lighting on RC boat. Great for DIY projects. I will probably be needing more of these...

The information for this light strip requires math...that I will do for you.The minimum requirement is 9w which is a 12v at .75amp, I ran a .5 amp before I confirmed the wattage and it ran, but had to unplug after 15 minutes. I plugged in a 3amp which is 36watts and it seems to be working great, but the minimum recommended should be a 3.75amp.This company sells a 6amp (72watt) with a dimmer, so that would be very safe.Anyway looks great, very bright even with 6 watts. The 2 sided tape was a little hard to start, but seems to hold well on wood.

I love inexpensive LED strips because they're convenient when you have a small space that doesn't warrant purchasing a $20+ system with dimmer switch and transformer. I used a spare USB 2.0 outlet as well as a USB 2 extension to create a cold white ambient effect for part of the DIY modernization that's in progress for this bathroom. The adhesive works fine, but it tears diagonally around midway so just be cognizant of that.Otherwise: Bright, proper color, works with any generic USB 2.0 outlet, and the continuous light bar look continues throughout the entirety of the illuminated area and you can't see the individual LED spots. That latter concern is not an uncommon phenomenon with inexpensive LED strips. The 3-ft segment was actually a little bit too much for my bathroom ambient light objective, so I actually soldered the scrap piece to another spare USB cable I had somewhere in my house and used (no surprise) a spare USB 2.0 AC outlet - I gave this little table outside in my backyard (in front of the door, to the left of the photo) a cold white ambient glow. So, I was able to add ambient cold white lighting to two things in my house with the purchase of one inexpensive cable!

This LED strip light has a female receptable for a corded plug but doesn't come with the corded plug. I had to scavenge one from something else. And, the other end of the LED strip is two bare wires. Are these left exposed to wire them together with another strip? I don't know. Is it safe to use like that? I don't know. The LED lights themselves are gorgeous but I find it odd there is no way to actually plug them in unless you have a plug or buy a male plug electric cord. And, also, cover the bare wires with electrical tape or an electrical plastic plug. Nice lights but weird presentation. Oh ... and no instructions to explain anything. I didn't even know the strip has double-stick tape on the back to hang them. I was glad to discover that after looking online about what to do with the bare wires.

These are not overly bright, and are perfect for what I needed them for. They clearly list the lumens. They work very well for accent lighting, or in my case shelf lighting, I needed something that would make it easier to see the items on the shelf and not be blinding, and they do the trick.My only complaint about them is the adhesive on the back, though it goes on strong, the lights fall off between 18 and 24 hours. It could be because the part of the shelves I am attaching it to is metal.

Man this strip is bright!!! It's prefect for above my ironing table or computer desk. My apartment doesn't have a lot of light so it's very cave like for light and this helped illuminate the corners. Sticks well, easy to put up.

No switch. No dimmer, No control. All that makes this a pretty useless item, regardless of the initial cost. Rather than a subdued red light, this string of LEDs acts more like a beacon, blinding you it you happen to look directly at it. No thanks... landfill!

This is a great length, very durable, and the color was perfect. I used it for making a vintage sign that I 3D-printed, and the adhesive backing stuck to the sign perfectly. It was also a great price and very easy to install.

Für unsere sehr alte Weihnachtskrippe habe ich mit diesem LED-Streifen eine tolle Möglichkeit gefunden, die Figuren und das Innere wunderschön auszuleuchten. Der Streifen ist an ein 5V-USB-Ladegerät eines alten Smartphones angeschlossen, das ich in eine Shelly Plus Plug S gesteckt habe. So kann ich per App nicht nur mein Aquarium, sondern auch den Weihnachtsbaum und die Krippe steuern. Eine super Lösung – klare Empfehlung!

Nice product. Lots of light and the leds are covered with what looks like silicone. So there is less risk of damage to the leds. As this just plugs into the usb without any control box anything you cut off can just be connected to 5 volts. So it may not be the cheapest but it's definitely worth a little more.
