Please keep in mind, this review is for the cover only. This item comes nicely packaged in bubble wrap and a sturdy box. It is a nice thickness without being heavy. The inside, from edge to edge, measures just shy of 10 3/4", and outer edge to edge at 11". The height measures at 4 1/2" on the inside. One of my favorite features of this cake cover are the straight sides which can more easily accommodate higher cakes, or cakes with raised decorations, unlike the "domed" type cake covers which curve in at the top. I also like the larger sized handle that makes the cover easy to lift and hold. You can use it on any flat surface such as your counter, cake plate, or lazy susan, which is what I have it on in the picture. Because of the width, this cover could easily accommodate cakes or pies up to 10" round. Overall, this is a nice quality product.

My husband spent 40+years in the food service industry. He spent many years as a sous chef, or a head chef, and followed that with restaurant management. When he unboxed this cake cover the first words out of his mouth were, "This is restaurant quality." It will be great for covering an 9" or smaller cake on a serving tray or cake plate with ample room to prevent messing up the frosting and decorations on it. It can also cover a round tray of cookies or cupcakes, or a whole pie, tart or quiche. Can be used to cover a charcuterie board, or a platter of sandwiches. It's uses are many, it's purpose one: keep the food fresh and protected until ready to serve.

This cover is nice and clear and lightweight. It fits a cake stand that I have that didn’t come with a lid, so that’s awesome. It will come in very handy during the summer to keep bugs off dishes outdoors. My pic isn’t the best, but it shows the clarity well. It has nice sleek lines and a nicely-sized handle. I haven’t tried using it to cover a double layered cake yet - I think it might be close. For sure it wouldn’t be tall enough to cover a two layered cake with standing decorations on top.It’s a nice durable cover, and I recommend it.

This cake cover is studier and heavier than anticipated. A perfect replacement for my old, lightweight one that cracked a long time ago. The design is sleek and simple and it’s well-made compared to my previous one. I just reckon that for the asking price, it wouldn’t hurt them to throw in the plate as well. But overall, this is a pretty decent and elegant cover! Also came pretty well-packaged. Make sure you wash with the soft side of the sponge to avoid scratching ;)

This dome could be used alone or on a cake stand. I have a cake stand that I've been wanting to use for pastries, muffins, cupcakes, or such, but it didn't have a cover and they would dry out. This is the perfect solution. I like that it is acrylic and less likely to break like a glass cover. (My husband tends to drop things.) Others have mentioned the straight sides all the way up, and that is certainly a nice feature.

This clear plastic display is flawless and durable. My dinner plates fit inside and I've included pictures with a tape measure so you can see the actual size. It reminds me of the cover my grandma used to cover cakes and pies. It's top notch quality, so if you're looking for a cover for your food, this will likely work for you. If your focus is on food preservation, it'll pay for itself eventually. It's a good fit for most dishes.
