The quick engagement is ideal for track use, but uncomfortable for daily street driving. Xtreme discs may chatter upon engagement when driven gently. Because of the non-dampened hub design, prolonged use (such as street driving) may cause noise and premature wear of drive-train components.

Used the ACT puck clutch in Spec Miata road race cars since 2001 with no issues. Never had a single disk related incident. We use this puck style disk but in a center sprung version for high performance street cars with good results.
