Okay, not exactly a meat-head, but if you have a home gym, this roll rubber tape is useful stuff. I lined the surfaces of my squat-rack where I sometimes set the bar to eliminate the steel-on-steel crashing. Works like a charm! It strikes me that if you have J-hooks that are not rubber/neoprene-lined, you could easily line them with this material and it's durable enough to transform them into a higher-quality product. This stuff cuts easily with household scissors and I've had no issues at all with adhesiveness. There are certainly lots of other uses that I'm not even thinking of!

I used this on the bottom of a condor jack stand to keep the stand from scratching my aluminum floor. Very good adhesive. Very thick and pretty solid. More rubbery than neoprene. I highly recommend.

Don’t expect this tape to stick to anything by it self. It will work great for a gasket material or clamped in between two objects and that is the reason I’m keeping it.
