"Looks Stunning on Front Porch During Daylight & Night for Reflecting Sunlight & Blue & Green LED Pinspot Lights...I absolutely love this Disco Glass Mirror Ball, however I use it as an attractive alternative to those Gazing Balls used for garden décor. Why? Because this glass mirror ball features the small 1/4" glass squares for reflecting any kind of light. This makes it perfect for daytime & night time use.Additionally, this also works to light up your landscape, use for celebrations, parties, Xmas, Fourth of July etc...The quality of this mirror ball is perfect for hanging under a covered porch or deck. I hung mine from my porch eaves as I had no room to hang from the porch ceiling due to no door clearance. So I added a 2"x6" board sandwiched between the eaves, which then gave me the needed door clearance & the ability to attach a 1.5 RPM speed Disco or Mirror Ball motor also made by Eliminator Lighting. Order part EM-MOT1. bhphotovideo(dot)com sells this for $14.95 with free shipping. It appears Amazon does not sell.Don't use any other alleged 1 RPM ball motors, because according to other Amazon reviews they rotate faster then what is claimed. You don't want anything faster than 1.5 RPM for a 12" Glass Mirror Ball. It will look tacky spinning faster than this, especially on your deck, porch or garden.Note: If you decide you want to mount a ball motor on your porch ceiling or wherever. I would highly recommend you spray paint the black with a different color to match or complement the color décor of your house. I chose , however you have the option to select other color paints from the same link. You can buy this for only $5.88 a can at Lowes!Just make sure you shake the spray can for at least one minute then clean nozzle with a damp cloth after you finish or else it will be useless. To light up your 12" glass mirror ball at night, order two lights. These are specifically designed to light up your mirror ball. I personally would not use any other LED pinspot lights. The white lights are very bright with a 6,500 Kelvin Temperature, however it does come with colored gels which noticeably dim the lights with your choose of color. Why? Because these come with 2 different lenses & 4 different colored gels. I ordered mine new from Ebay at $72 with best offer pricing which included free shipping. The lenses allows you to adjust the pinspot light to the size of your mirror ball. For example, I removed the 6 degree lens which it comes installed with & replaced with the optional 9 degree lens. Why? Because I did not want to space the lights more than 6ft away from the mirror ball. Using the 6 degree lens, I would have to space the lights at least 10 feet away!Note: Remember you want to match the beam of the projecting light to the size of the ball. Like adjusting a microscope or binoculars etc for best effect. Make sure the distance is approximately same for each light by confirming with a tape measure.Furthermore, I also spray painted the black colored pinspot housings with a satin white to blend in with the color decor of the house. These lights are not designed to be used more than 6 hours at a time. Use a timer if needed.I definitely recommend using this with an outdoor mechanical timer such as the .set to go on at dusk, then off at dawn to prolong the life of the LED lights And I also spray painted the black with a satin white to blend in with the color decor of the house. If you want more control you can also plug the outdoor mechanical timer into this:Then you can turn it on or off from any location in the house or outside within 100 ft. or so.Just apply painters tape around the dial & use a compatible colored electrical tape to wrap around black cord, if you want to conceal the color of the cord.Note: None of the colored gels are NOT as bright as the white LED, which produces a clean, intense, brighter & stronger impact effect upon surfaces. however, I found the blue colored gels produced an attractive subdued look w/o over powering my blue & green laser Christmas light sold by laserchristmaslightsdotcom. I highly recommend you get one or two depending upon how many large trees you have on your property as none of the LED or other wannabe laser lights sold at the big box stores or on amazon don't even compare. These laser lights are amusement park grade, they're not low intensity crap sold by the big box stores or amazon. The Laser Christmas light ( Many use it thru out the year w/o the red) is mounted on the rear of mouse attached to the apex of the gable with the laser light aimed above the roof toward the six large Douglas fir trees in front & side of my home. The effect is truly amazing. Looks like fireflies everywhere on the trees from top to bottom. Note: Don't aim at your house, as it looks far more amazing lighting up a large or several large trees using only one laser light!Other additional items you may probably need are:1. which you can also buy at either Lowes, Home Depot etc. You'll need this if you don't have any accessible outlets nearby. You'll simply convert your porch light socket into outlets. Plus this makes it very easy for you to turn off the disco mirror ball lights etc. I actually don't need to rotate the Mirror ball as virtually any breeze or wind creates the effect I'm looking for. Experiment.2. You'll need this as both the mirror ball motor & pinspot lights are 3 prong plugs. This will convert them into 2 prong plugs which allow you to plug into a white 2 prong plug cord or into a 2 prong plug socket adapter. I also spray painted these 3 prong to 2 prong adapters with satin white.3. You'll also need this as both the mirror ball motor & pinspot lights are 3 prong plugs. Note: Find the correct length you need.or use 2 prong plug cord with a & use together with a 3 prong to 2 prong adapter.4. Three 2.5" to 3" wood screws for safely mounting the mirror ball motor & heavy glass mirror ball. Note: Pre-drill the holes before screwing in the wood screws. I used a 1/8" drill bit for pre-drilling #8 size wood screws.5. Painters tape for wrapping the metal prongs on plugs before spray painting. Position the Pinspot lights face down to avoid spraying the lens or front of lens. If paint gets on the lens simply remove with "Goof Off" or paint thinner. For changing the color of the light simply choose one of the 4 colored gels included with the pinspot light. Then remove the lens clip to the pinspot lights. Next remove the lens & then carefully position the flexible colored gel into light. Next insert one of the lenses. I used the included 9 degree optional lens. However, the downloadable owners manual says to install the lens before installing the colored gel. I believe this was in error. You'll see why if you decide to install the colored gels. I used the green gel for one of the lights & the blue gel for the other.Remember to install everything under a covered roof to avoid rain or water getting into the electrical components. Furthermore you don't want any water to get on the mirror ball as it's internally supported by heavy duty cardboard & you don't want it getting soaked or wet.To clean mirror ball, simply spray a glass cleaner to a micro cloth to remove any dirt or smudges for maximum light reflectivity.Likewise for cleaning the pinspot lens.I really hope this review inspires you to have fun with your mirror ball for enjoying for year around use. Please click yes, if you appreciate this review or if it has helped you in anyway by clicking yes. Thanks!

Our soon-to-be 12-yr-old-grandson once mentioned he thought a 'mirror ball' would be the PERFECT addition to his drama/sound board/music/theatrical lighting systems - he LOVES putting on the 'perfect show', with all the bells-and-whistles one would expect from a 'theater geek'. We were sure he had forgotten all about that statement, so we found this PERFECT mirror ball and sent it to him for his birthday. He had no clue what was in the big square box as he ripped into the wrapping... but the smile and delight that washed over his face was priceless as he discovered this shiny, reflective orb. It was promptly hung in the family room... lights were dimmed, strobe pointed it's way and the music turned up loud, and BOOM - instant DANCE PARTY! We all had a blast... and he LOVES his mirror ball!

A friend has wanted a disco ball for her bedroom for a long time. I got her this one for Christmas and was admittedly a little wary about what seemed like the very decent price. I wanted a high quality disco ball. I was surprised when it arrived to find that it looked even better than the photos. It is big and has good weight to it. I believe it's glass. On par with any disco ball that you would find at a club or party. Great deal.

Warmth???? Anyway, good mirror ball. It fell from 7 feet and now dents, of course some of the mirrors broke, but NONE of them fell off. So they use a good quality glue. If only I would have used a quality stand. :-) I will be getting more mirror balls in the future of different sizes. If I find others that are better than this one, I may come back and down grade this. But for now, I think this is a good ball for 50.

It’s beautiful and fun, but the mirror pieces don’t lone up as well as I’d like. I still kept it though and enjoy it. You don’t notice the mirror inconsistencies when it’s hanging up.

This disco ball is super high quality and so worth the price! I purchased it to cut off the top so I could use it as a hanging planter, which required A LOT of brute strength and use of a saw since the ball was made of really sturdy, thick plastic. The square mirror pieces also seem securely glued on, but they’re also easy to remove with a box cutter and can be reapplied if needed. If you’re looking for a disco ball, this one is definitely super legit.

A few square tiles fell off during shipping, but I glued them back on in two seconds. It is quite durable for the price. I am hoping to scar away the birds from underneath my two story porch. Might as well have fun in the process!
