Used this for the first time the other day, making a birthday cake. Wire couldn't even cut through the outside of the cake, and I had to make the first slice with a knife. This meant that it also couldn't cut through the other end of the cake to finish it off, and just ended up tearing huge chunks out. The cut wasn't level, was very uneven, despite cutting on an even surface without rising the device up. Was difficult to use on my own, as one hand had to be on the cake at all times to ensure the wire was actually moving through the cake and not just pushing the cake forward. Didn't even bother trying to use it for the second layer. Overall not a good product and not worth the money.
