I have many of these adjustable bars for additional hands when working on projects( cabinet hanging, rv ceiling panels etc) Ordered this one to use for back of the pickup truck and in an enclosed trailer when moving things that roll around. The net has limited use most things will get caught up in it. & be frustrating. Lightweight solid small items that you don't want in contact with the floor might work. I will probably try to hang it on the roof wall interface in the Haulmark trailer to contain small loads that don't warrant strapping. The additional t-arm is helpful to further separate your loads from sliding around. When used as overhead support to hold panels up in an rv type situation the t- bar is a nice place to hang your drill or rivet gun, or other tools with loops or in a small tool pouch to keep them close by while working. This bar would clamp onto any load bar / brace I already have also so bonus there as well! This is an excellent addition to my arsenal of panel Jack's and load bars ! I am always wishing I had one more in the middle of a project. This one has metal push buttons and holes in the pole though instead of just pressure fitting from twisting. This makes it stronger than some of my other types. Those same holes will be an issue if you leave this in the back of your open pickup truck though so store it inside and be sure to drain it if you get caught rain while using it!! I'm very happy with the quality of this cargo bar . One additional nice feature is the rubber feet don't remove easily like some others I have that snap on and offm Somtimes i lose one andxhavexto go looking for it. Also this arrives assembled (main body) and has a nice bag to keep it looking good and keep the pieces together. Overall I'm very pleased with it and will try to keep it for use with the catering business so that it continues to look nice and clean. This idea will only last till I'm desperate for an additional panel brace though 😆. Hope this helps . Happy bracing out there!!

A very solid product indeed! Uses for these cargo bars are unlimited but I'll share what we use it for and it works great! We do a lot of camping and we tow a trailer behind our F250 diesel. Although we are fairly organized and the gear we bring with us are compartmentalized in storage boxes and crates, it never fails that going up and down and around sharp curvy mountain roads, it all starts to slide around in the cargo bed - but no more! We can now customize the fit based on the amount of cargo in our truck bed and everything stays in place! I'll tell you what else it's good for - transporting propane! One should know that when filling up propane tanks whether large or small, it is imperative that you transport propane tanks standing upright for safety issues. These cargo bars hold them perfectly in place so no more worries on that! The material is constructed very well - strong steel and aluminum. The knobs tighten/loosen to provide a tight fit that won't slip along your journey. I also love how easy it is to loosen and re customize and retighten the divider bars based on the amount of space you need to keep secure in addition to a handy cargo net for maintaining stability of smaller items you're transporting. Excellent product-very useful in many ways and I highly recommend it to anyone hauling cargo, especially in a pickup truck, van and trailer!

For some reason because this is so adjustable I just assumed it would span the bed of my Chevy 2500... Nope it doesn't. Looking up specs it also won't span a Chevy 1500. Sure you could span the wheel wells, but why would I want a bar that low in that position? I can get it to span from the kickout right next to the tailgate in about a foot to the bed, but that's fairly useless. Also the plastic locking knob ring broke right away (it's a completely useless piece though so who really cares). Why they wouldn't make this six inches longer is a complete mystery. I guess it will work with mid size trucks....

These work great in my 16 foot cargo trailer than we use to carry our gear for setting up Estate Sales. It does an excellent job at holding the bins and tables so they don't slide from the front of the trailer. I did find you must place them so each end is pressing against a rib on each side of the trailer. They hold solidly then; if you just put them agains the skin of the trailer, they slip after a few bumps.These are very sold and well made. I am very pleased.
