Very well built and extremely comfortable. As someone who plays piano 56 hours a week, I can attest that this bench is a game-changer. My only suggestion would be to offer a gloss black cushion option to match my Yamaha Baby Grand.

This is a little narrower than I expected which may actually be a good thing. The seat is firm; sturdy and well made. I wish it was more comfortable (softer) but overall I am happy with my purchase. It is beautiful.

Looks amazing. Good storage, not great. Adjustment mechanism seems solid. Very easy to assemble. Happy with purchase over all.

I’m a piano teacher, and I have a lot of little kids running through my piano studio who need a sturdy bench to keep them from flying off the seat and spilling onto the floor.I had a shorter length bench by CLS Imports, which was a nice weight, but the length of a duet bench is much better for my work. The lack of buttons on the seat pad indents are highly preferable, as my previous bench had many buttons on the padding, which would poke the sit bones of myself and my students.I decided to change to this bench for a few different reasons, and overall the bench is a good product and easy to assemble, but not as high quality as the first bench I had, which was less expensive than this one. The legs are somewhat short, but the height adjustment of the seat makes up for that quite a bit. It has a good range of motion. It is odd that this bench does not weigh as much as my other one, which was smaller. I did like the weight of my first bench more than this one; the importance of sturdiness in a bench cannot be overemphasized when small kids are involved.I paid $50 more for this item, and I know it is larger and prices have likely increased since I first bought the CLS Imports bench a year ago, but I feel the difference in price and quality seems a bit wide compared to my previous purchase. The legs on my CLS bench fit seamlessly and were completely even, absolutely no issues. This bench has a less sturdy leg attachment style in comparison, similar to piano benches that would be included with a piano purchase, or a vanity bench that you might buy for your home. The issue with the attachment style is when you are constantly pulling the bench in and out, the legs loosen, and there’s really no way to stop that from happening. If you’ve had any benches or stools like this in your home, you know exactly what I mean. I’ve already had to tighten the legs once, and I’ve only been using it for a week.Upon that tightening, I went super hard, which I hope will last longer than a week. However, there is a teeter to the bench - it’s not perfectly level. This is an extremely slight issue, but when you’re working with small children and pulling the bench in and out all day, it’s something you notice. The storage of the bench is as expected, not shallow or deep, just normal. I don’t store things in my bench - that would be a silly endeavor for someone with as many tools and books as I have, so it’s not something I really care about. If you are buying this for your home, two students full book sets could easily fit in the bench. I would only recommend this for home purchase. As a professional, this bench is just a little too light for me, and the unevenness of the legs does bother me as the day goes on.Not enough of an issue for me to return, but I probably would’ve made a different decision if I had seen it before I bought it.
