This product was not worth my time or money. It arrived okay, opened it, could not read how to out together (looked like the instructions were In Japanese. Getting together was easy. After I got it together, I looked to see how to put my project on to work. Nothing, tried to put over wooden dowel rods and put the heavy plastic piece over that and turn the rod to move up and down the project, did not work. The project kept coming off. No way to securely hold the project on to work it. Not worth it.

The fabric "holder" didn't hold embroidery fabric, the stand is flimsy and there's were no assembly instructions. The holes for screws were not funny drilled. Returning!!!

Although I've given this a low rating, I'm keeping it. Overall, it should work out for me, although it's a bit flimsy. I'm working on a large needlepoint canvas which would have been awkward to hold. Right out of the box, the wood is so light I wondered if it was something less weighty than pine, but a bit higher grade than balsa. Not enough to discourage me, though, because I work with a light touch. Next came the instructions. They are less than generous, as you can see from the picture. Not helpful at all, so I did a "Print Screen" then saved each pic as a jpeg, just so I would know which part went where. I've included them so you can (I hope) copy them and print them out. Then came the screws needed to hold the frame in place. They should both be the same but, not only is one a bit shorter than the other; one has threads in it but the other doesn't. I'm sorry the picture isn't the best; my lighting isn't that great. I received the package a bit late in the day, too late to go out and buy a set of matching screws. Frankly, I might have even used both of these, only the wing nut wouldn't go on the one without threads. So, instead of spending most of the evening on my needlepoint, I was frustrated and forced to wait until this morning to go get the screws, which I'm going to do right now! If you're really fussy about your equipment, you might want to pass on this one!

It's wobbly, but works... It's cheap and it shows... But it's a good start to see if embroidery is something you want to pursue... But if you know you love embroidery? Spend more money for a better quality stand.

Product came in May pieces that needed to be assembled. Only thing that even looked like instructions in the box was a small piece of mangled paper that had a very lightly inked drawing and Chinese writing. Would take longer trying to figure out what to do than it would to assemble. Only face one star because I had to select at least one.

My package arrived first, beat up with holes and a lot of tape. Turns out it was a metal clothing rack instead of the wooden embroidery stand that I ordered. Returned the package for an exchange and when the second package arrived, it was late but it was actually the embroidery stand. After putting the expensive but low quality product together, the scrolling bar broke in half. I can't believe I payed this much money for something that broke before I could even use it.
