This is by far the best dog bag I have ever purchased.Pros1. First off I would like to say the sizing charts are accurate. I ordered the exact size they told me based on the dog's dimensions and the back fit perfectly without any adjustments needed, even though the adjustments are available.2. The back looks small at first but it surprised me how much it could hold.3. A lot of dog backpacks do not have a strap between the dog's front legs like this one. I have learned this is 100% necessary because if it was not there and one saddle had more weight even in the slightest, it would slide off the dogs back. Even with that added strap the item will slide a bit but will stock thanks to the strap.4. There are pads on every strap so your dog is comfortable and happy.5. The materials/fabric/clips/zippers the bag is made out of are of very high quality.Cons1. The pads are not directly attached to the straps and instead slip over the straps so they tend to slip off when putting the bag on and off your dog

This bag is a perfect size for you dog to carry to silicon bowls, two small (4-6oz) bottles of water, and a ziplock bag with dog food and room left over for some treats. The harness itself is pretty good. I can lift my dog by the handle and she balances nicely in the harness and seems comfortable. I know this because the large side bags make it hard for her to maneuver in the rocky areas, so I just lift and carry her when the bad starts to get caught on rocks. This would be a great feature for an older dog that has difficulty getting in cars or over logs and other terrain. My dog is 40 lbs and fits neatly between small and medium on all harnesses, this one is no different. It fits her, but not perfectly. The biggest downside is that the straps can come entirely out of the loops and can be lost. It would also be nice if the "saddle bags" had a compression strap or some elastic to make them less in the way when not fully packed. Great system though and really a must for people who take their dogs hiking, or even just for the handle feature in assisting older dogs (other harnesses don't have the rear strap and using the handle on other harnesses is a bit like lifted your dog bit it neck).

Getting ready for hiking season. This will make taking the pups treats and water dishes a lot easier. It is well made and yet very sturdy. The pouches can carry a lot, however I would never load them down and then put on either of my pups. It is very easy to put on the dog and I like the handle to either control your dog or even to just carry it when not being worn. The ring to hook the leash to is very sturdy. Both our dogs are 100+ pounds and the large fits great.

I was VERY excited for this back pack. We do a lot of hiking, and I decided it was time for my dog to carry his own weight!The plastic clips on this broke when I unclipped them coming out of the box! Before I EVER put it on my dog!This was two days before our trip, so I didn't have time to return it and get a new one...I am giving this three stars because even with TWO broken clips, it worked pretty well... The pack itself is durable, but depending on the size of your dog, the pouches don't carry much. I was able to fit two very small water bottles for him in each side. Nothing more. The bag was packed 100% evenly... (two IDENTICAL water bottles on each side...) and it still flopped consistently to one side... I would fix it and it would flop to the other side... Going up and down the mountains was definitely uncomfortable for my little guy as the backpack kept shifting...The one pro: It was very light weight and he didn't seem to be over heated with it. So that was nice!However, if you're going to spend almost $30 on this backpack, I highly recommend checking out the Kurgo Baxter for $47. I got the kurgo pack after returning this life union one. We have taken it on a couple hikes now, and it doesn't slide at all. It's much more adjustable, just as breathable and light weight, and seems to be so much more comfortable for my dog. It also holds WAY more.

My dog and I both love this thing. He's a huge, strong, and energetic dog and I got really tired of carrying around all his stuff around AND trying to keep up with him (ha!). It looks nice on him, not too bulky or anything, and he seems to be fine with the feel of it. I think he really enjoys feeling useful. I swear he struts around in this thing like he's proud. I put it on him and he went and showed the whole household. I was surprised to find out that the leash attachment holds up to expectations fairly well (he's so strong it's annoying, but he doesn't tug -too- much). This holds plenty of water/supplies for a day trip with my best friend!

Love it but I just couldn’t make ford my dog wear it:( you can fit 6 days of dog food in the backpack…depending on size of your dog. It’s made well I believe.

I took away one star for poor placement of the reflectors. The four stripes (2 on top of each pouch) are very good reflectors, but they are mostly visible from above.The reflective piping (stitching) around the side & bottom of each pouch is very reflective. I was able to see it 50 feet away in the woods with a focused flashlight. I did not see the top four stripes.The front and back gray panels should be reflective, as per the photos. An on-coming car will mainly see the reflective piping. They may also see parts of the top four reflective stripes. If those four panels were reflective, the car driver will definitely see my dog.This is a great backpack in every other aspect. Good quality. It easily fits my 80 pound dog and looks like it can be adjusted for a much larger dog.

Over all not too bad a harness. But there is one issue that needs attention.There should be a D ring at the back as well as the front for dogs that pull.Edit.I have now used this three times and the seam at the bottom of one of the bags has opened. They did not reinforce the seams of the bags and the construction is flimsy.

Colour variety is very simple. Wish there was more variety. This backpack won't last longterm even for the reviews. Easily damaged by brush and pockets appear much smaller than they appear. Not a terrible but will get you through.
