This motor and gear housing is an exact part for the big, living room slide on my 2018 Open Range 308 BHS. Removing the old motor and gear housing was easy. Be sure to mark the chains with white paint so you know where the chains align on the teeth of the sprockets on the gear box. Installing the new motor and gear box was easy too. Exact part match, to include the holes where the part screws into the RV. Adjustments to the cables will have to be made, but that's normal. I did this complete repair with the slide in the out position. I think the recommendation is to do the repair with the slide in, but I didn't think that was really necessary. I will be buying another one of these just in case another motor and gear housing assembly part goes bad while I'm traveling.

I purchased this just for the motor to replace the original motor on a bedroom slide on my Dutchman Denali that suddenly stopped working. Recently while packing up at our last camping trip the slide would not close. So I had to figure out how to close the slide with a cordless drill and bit. This was an extremely difficult task as the motor and gearbox are hidden under the bed frame behind the storage area with very little clearance for accessibility. There were no part numbers that I could find in the RV literature nor that I could see on the motor, however I found this similar looking motor drive here on Amazon and it was a very close match. The new motor is slightly larger in diameter, maybe an 1/8" larger, however it bolted up to the existing mounting frame and gearbox and it works. I also noticed the amp rating is 1 amp higher than the original motor which tells me it is slightly more powerful. The slide does appear to open and close a little faster than with the original motor. The original motor was only 5 years old and if was operated more than 40 times I would be surprised. It's amazing how cheaply they build parts for RV's.

Exactly the same as the oem and 1/3 of what the dealer wanted to charge us.

The unit was the exact part that had failed on my 5th wheel slide out. It was relatively simple to install once I disassembled my slide fascia. It is actually quieter than the original.

I have a 2016 Montana High County. After having the living room slide motor replaced last summer, the kitchen one went out and I decided to replace it myself. Really not a difficult job. This is the same motor that used to be labeled “Heavy duty†on the side according to a you tube video I watched. It fit perfectly over the previous motor screw holes. You tube has multiple videos showing how to do this. The only thing is I’m having a pro cheek the tension of the cables to be sure that I got that correct.
