This package of 24 pieces of basswood is basically my Glowforge’s new best friend. It cuts like butter (if butter were harder and more wood-like, but you get the idea). Each piece is perfectly sized, and I swear I could hear the Glowforge sing when it saw this wood—okay, maybe it didn’t sing, but it definitely had a good time.I’ve used these for a bunch of projects already, and they’ve been a dream. No splinters, no weird bends—just perfect little sheets of wood that are ready to turn into whatever creative chaos I’m dreaming up that day. If you’re looking for reliable, smooth basswood that plays nice with lasers (and probably other things, too), this is it. It’s like the dependable sidekick every crafter secretly hopes for but never gets. Highly recommend!

This arrived nicely packaged, no damage. It is 3mm so it does have a slight warp when not weighted down. Cuts & engraves nicely on my laser. It’s not a high quality but I expected that for this kind. I would purchase this again as well as recommend it.

The boards that aren’t warped work perfectly in my Glowforge Aura. That being said, there are far too many warped boards. Yes, I can anchor them down, but I shouldn’t have to. Other than that, they’re good. Consistent color, sturdy enough for laser projects and a decent value for the money (especially when compared to Glowforge’s “Proofgrade†materials which are ridiculously overpriced.) Will buy more eventually; I just hope the manufacturer can find a way to keep the boards perfectly flat.

I decided to try the 24 pack of this product. The grain looks as good as others I've tried in the past. HOWEVER, 18 of the 24 boards are warped. I'm not sure if they can be flattened or not but I'm going to try. I do projects with tabs and slots so flat is required. I may not buy these again.

These are perfect for my project, all look great and are not warped. I will be laminating some of them for a thicker piece and making a doll trunk.

I've been picking up Basswood for a while now. I've picked up different things usually based on price and availability more than anything else. This company though had so many good reviews I had to take a look and see exactly what it was all about. The first thing I noticed when I opened was that these things were tightly stacked together and bound, not just stuck in a plastic bag or thrown in a box shrink wrapped. And then to see additional padding on the corners really was above and beyond anything I've seen anybody do. I've looked and I do not see any splits or damaging any other boards so far. These look like they are either sod, or sanded if they might be laser cut. But the edges are clean, and the surface is completely smooth. This is the only one that I have left more than just a simple star reading. I've never taken the time to actually say anything about this, but when I find something good, I want to let other people know. So far these have checked off virtually every single box that I have needed for my crafts. I will look forward to buying more of these again and again in the future.
