A high temp gun. So the glue is very liquid. And none drips out. It's magic. It has some sort of spring loaded valve in the end. When I let go of the grip the valve closes and stops the glue. I can set it down anywhere. No drips.A nice gun otherwise too. Feels sturdy. Lots of heat. Easy to squeeze.

Best ever in a long sad line of previously owned toy glue guns. One of the best features of this model, is the very positive glue stick advancing mechanism. When the installed glue stick is consumed to the point that it no longer advances, simply insert a fresh stick and keep on gluing without interruption. No messing around trying to bond new stick to old, or trying to hold the work piece, pull the trigger, and keep pressure on the new stick using only two hands. The gun holds its temp well with minimum standby dribble, but when the trigger is pulled, this baby delivers some very hot product, which definitely helps ensure a firm bond. The first test of this was to hold a slightly bowed piece of 3/4" plastic lumber flat against a flatter fir board in order to resurface the plastic lumber through a thickness sander, (to prepare a small sign). The approx 2" dia spot of hot glue not only held the plastic lumber flat against the fir board during the sanding, but tore away some splinters of wood from the fir board during removal. This even after applying denatured alcohol which normally acts as a pretty good release agent for hot glue bond. One of my pet peeves of previous glue guns is the instability of most while on standby. It seems that it was always too easy to somehow tip many of these toy guns over, off the table, under the workbench, etc. This model has addressed standby probably as well as I've seen done. The removable stand under the grip, and the flip down stand under the nozzle, make the standby mode almost "bomb proof" while pretty well staying out of the way while actually gluing. Also this gun while not at all "heavy", is somewhat heavier than most, which also seems to make the standby mode more secure. One con however is the rubber overlay on the palm side of the pistol grip. It is supposed to be held in place by numerous little nubbins fitting into slots in the plastic grip. The nubbins on my model neither seem to fit nor grip, but certainly not a deal breaker. With or without the rubber overlay, for the price, the best glue gun I've encountered.

I needed a way to fill a bunch on knots on a dining room table and wanted to use Knottec's black wood repair glue sticks. The Knottec 1/2" x 10" sticks fit and worked perfectly with this glue gun. If you're a novice or even a more experienced woodworker, I would recommend this glue gun for such an application. They make expensive kits, but you can just buy the pieces individually and save a lot of money.

I am not a fan of hot glue but due to some crafting projects with my wife I needed to buy a new hot glue gun, this is an impressive hot glue gun in size and build quality. Heats up quickly and dispenses glue. Control of the glue flow is easy and can get out of control quickly because of the big handle and good leverage (not actually a bad thing).Overall compared to less expensive hot glue guns this is well worth the money if you have to use hot glue for a project. Will be interested in discovering how and where I can use the 5 pounds of woodworking hot glue sticks I bought to use in this hot glue gun in my woodworking shop. I am sure the glue will disappoint long before this hot glue gun does.

This is not an industrial-quality glue gun. For light occasional use it's a good tool. It does require industrial quality glue with 1/2 inch diameter and high melt temperature. Great for heavy duty jobs. It's going to be useless for crafting. Low temperature glues will just run through it and smaller diameters will not feed right.

The first thing you will notice is how it fits your entire hand and feels like an actual glue gun instead of a mini piece of equipment. It takes 10 inch glue sticks so you don't have to keep reloading, dispenses glue fast and it is quite hot! The best feature that I love is the fact that it does not drip. I used to have to put cardboard under the tip of my old glue guns but no longer. This really is a great piece of equipment and if you don't have something similar you really should consider getting this now!

If you're in this far, you might as well spend more and get an adjustable temp model as this one runs so hot that most any glue you put in it will run right out... like puddles, not just drips.Ultimately, it's likely because the gun simply gets too hot — which might be great for some applications and sticks, but not for general varied (craft or industrial) use. For instance, most of my work requires black glue (vs. clear) and there's not a high-temp black stick available. Wood-specific sticks are the worst and turn to maple syrup in the unit. Ugg. I've hundreds of lumps of leaked glue around my shop and gobs of glue on most every shop towel I own — which creates a secondary PITA if they get washed and they hit the dryer with glue on them. The gun is very well built, but like a lot of things: if it doesn't do the one job it's supposed to do well, then it's ultimately a failure. This gun fails.

I looked for quite awhile before settling on this AdTech Pro 200 glue gun as there's plenty of cheaper guns on the market but this came highly reviewed and 3M themselves rebrand this very glue gun to sell with some types of their own glue sticks so it seemed like the perfect choice. That proved to be true as combined with high strength glue sticks from either Stanley or DeWalt I've repaired plenty of items with this glue gun. Plus unlike cheap guns I've used in the past, once this gun is hot it can really push glue. With shorter sticks it's actually not that hard to use up a stick quite quickly. Plus while this gun is corded, it retains heat very well so if don't have a wall socket near your project, you can still push glue with this gun unplugged for a solid couple of minutes without issue so be careful where you leave this while it's cooling down as it does take awhile. In short I couldn't ask for a better glue gun as while I don't have cause to use a glue gun most days, it's good to know that should the need arise to repair something that hot glue can fix, I have a reliable glue gun at the ready.
