Product Description

Dogs finally get their day with the Aerobie Dogobie Disc! We heard how much our furry fans loved their humans’ Aerobie discs, so we made one just for canines. The disc is made of a soft material that is gentle on a dog’s mouth and teeth and is tear and puncture resistant. The aerodynamic design is easy to grip and throw accurately so the whole family can enjoy a catch game with their favorite dog. Great for exercising and building a stronger bond with your pet too. 8-inch diameter. Available in assorted colors. Sold individually.

From the Manufacturer

The Dogobie Disc has an aerodynamic design that makes for effortless throws. The flexible material is gentle on a dog's mouth and will resist puncture and tear for greater durability.

Updated: See my review below for my initial thoughts on this toy.Seems I owe Ray Masel an apology. If it doesn't fly, you're not throwing it right. Sorry Ray.Out of the 3 different Frisbees I bought, my younger black Labrador much preferred to play with this one. So much so, that I persevered with it for several days and tried a few different throwing techniques.Well, yesterday I found a way to really make this thing fly and this morning in the paddock with just a light breeze it was rocketing out to about 40 to 50 yards with ease and floating down flat for the dog to leap up and catch it.By far her most favorite Frisbee. Now more loved than her old hard plastic Frisbee. She runs and runs all day chasing this one now that I can make it fly well enough for her to catch.PREVIOUSLY I WROTE: I had high hopes for this disc as it is endorsed by Ray Masel, former US Frisbee Dog Champion. Not sure what Ray was throwing but it wasn't the same as the one I had delivered.I bought 3 discs to try out (the other 2 being West Paw Zisc and Starmark Easy Glide) and the Aerobie is definitely the best flying of the 3. However, that's not saying much as this one doesn't float/hover all that well.It certainly goes the distance and looks as though it will last for some time, but if it doesn't hover like a Frisbee, it might as well be a stick. My dog loves to catch the Frisbee, she lives for it, and while she will chase and retrieve this disc, it doesn't excite her anywhere near as much as her chewed up old hard plastic Frisbee that actually still flies better than this disc.In the pics: the green one and the blue one (with the big chink out) are both Dogobie's. They still fly well enough even with the chunks out. The green one is 2 years old, the blue one about a year old. The chewed bits are my fault as I left her alone to chew them. They still took quite a bit of chewing to get to that stage. The blue one full of teeth marks got that way in just a few minutes of play and were the result of catching it in her teeth, NOT chewing it. This is the Easy Glider. The orange one is the West Paw and it gets very little use. We pull it out on really windy days as it's so heavy it doesn't get blown away, but other than that, it just sits in the garage. It's been chewed extensively and has no signs of any damage yet though, so a big plus if your dog like to chew rather than chase.

First off, the dog can pick up in a parking lot, driveway, or any other place flat. Other disc the dog couldn't pick up. He'd just scoot it all over and paw at it trying to get a piece of it to grab. The dog can grab these. If he doesn't catch in the air, he can easily pick it up with his mouth and bring back so you can throw again. These are the best for flinging out for your dog to catch. I tried many other brands. Some were just too hard and probably hurt when they try to catch and bump the dogs mouth. The original flying disc just was ruined by the dog in no time. But these are the best. They last a long time. Well, in 4 months they are stilling going strong whereas others were destroyed. I even went and bought more to have on hand. They sail very nicely. They have a nice weight to them so they will soar if caught by the wind, but not lighted enough to be blown away. I just love them. The only ones I will buy from now on.

To be fair, nowhere in the description does it say it floats. Bad on me for assuming it does, like it's "human" disc counterpart, which my dog adores but is hard on the teeth. She loves this disc as much as her normal Aerobie. She'll carry it everywhere if we allow it. So far, it seems quite durable, unlike anything made of fabric that has sewing holding it together. It doesn't fly anything like a human-rated Aerobie, but no soft dog disc does. A disc needs to be pretty rigid to do so, and soft rubber or fabric discs just don't work as well. But she loves it, catches it, and no more frightening "clunk" in the jaws like the harder discs. It's a good product.

Beste honden frisbees!!!
