Why didn’t I buy this years ago? I have a very old and very small air compressor. 125 PSI, 1.5HP, 2 gallon. I got this impact wrench to help work on a couple of vintage Vespas. It is a game changer to loosening stubborn nuts, especially when dealing with parts that will spin freely when you use a ratchet. No problems running this with my small compressor for my use case. Seems like great build quality, it’s fairly heavy. It has already paid for itself many times over in the aggravation and time it has saved me.

I am giving this impact wrench A398 4-stars only because the product description is not accurate. It is advertised as 850 ft-lb torque, 1000 ft-lb breakaway torque and 7000 RPM. The manual inside the box has different technical specifications: 810 ft-lb maximum torque, 7800 RPM and nothing about breakaway torque. I doubt it has breakaway torque of 1000 ft-lb -- that would be amazing, but for me, it is too soon to tell. I used it only to remove the lug nuts so far, they were torqued to 100 ft-lb (maybe more), and they came off very easily at 90 psi air pressure, using 25-foot long 3/8 inch ID air hose .I bought this for timing belt job and to replace my 30-year old, cheep, impact that is already struggling a little and is not strong enough. We will see if the crank shaft nut will come off. If the breakaway torque is half of the advertised number, it shouldn't be a problem. (I will update this review later.) Overall, I think this is a good replacement for the money.

I bought this specifically to take the axle nuts off my XJ front inner axles. They were ON there. I tried everything I had but they would not break loose. 1/2†cordless impact, 1/2†breaker bar with cheater pipe, you name it I tried it . I have a stubby 1/2†air impact but it didn’t have the gusto to break the nuts free.Ordered this to see if it would work. One side took about 4 ugga dugga’s to break free other side took 2 ugga dugga’s. Lots of power. So easy …this 1/2†air impact has earned a place in my tool box.

I am 74 years old. When you need this tool, which is very seldom, nothing else will do. Five minutes after the Amazon driver rolled out of my driveway, I had this tool opened, serviced and began testing! I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it appeared to be well constructed and very rugged! I immediately put the tool through some initial paces. Removing auto lug nuts and loosening and re tightening some stubborn and rusted fence bolts. Tool performed as expected and I was pleased.

Good heavy duty works Great I will have to get a bigger compressor for it to work better cause I have small air compressor but it does the job ok ,it will work full compasity wen I have bigger tank .

Bought this impact gun to try and replace anodes on two water heaters. It says it's rated to 1,000 lbs. It did not work for my task, but will keep for auto wheel removal use. I could not tell if the gun was just too weak possibly due to not enough air feed (was using over 90 psi but from small home compressor) or if the anodes were just too tight and the tool rating was exaggerated. Don't know for sure. Tool build quality seems pretty good. It's nice and compact. I ended buying a battery powered DeWalt unit that worked for the anode task.
