It’s very beautiful. Exactly as pictured. It’s literally a cardboard box but it’s sturdy. I did see something very similar at Target for $5 that’s about the size of the darker one. But I kept these because I like what they say and the two colors. I think they’re great for putting a remote control or even pictures inside so pretty funcional. I think they’re great and are a decent size although I wish they were slightly larger. I do think they are pricey but there aren’t many other great options out there.

These were packaged well and beautifully made, the cloth covers with gold lettering look amazing. The larger book fit all our remotes with ease and it is such an elegant way to tidy up the coffee table clutter. My only complaint is the smaller of the two books has a dent or glue bubble under the fabric and since there was no damage to the original product box it points to poor quality control, but thankfully it’s not too noticeable, and overall I am quite pleased by these.

When I ordered these 2, faux decor books, I was so incredibly surprised and amazed. They were so gorgeous that I thought that they were actual books. I am very impressed with them. I always thought that fake decor books were not nice enough for a home display. I am so wrong. These faux decor books are absolutely amazing. I could definitely display them in my library and will probably do so.I have a beautiful set of Red Oak bookends that would look stunning at the end of these faux decor books. Maybe I need to add a couple more, or maybe add a few leather bound books in between. All I know is that these faux books are really special and the price is great. I’m surprised that they aren’t asking more, especially since you can open each faux book to store special items inside without anyone knowing.With these books looking so authentic, and the price so generous, I would love to have a couple more. There are always spaces that could use some spicy up. These would even be a great gift for a housewarming, or for someone who is doing a remodel of their home and needs some special pieces.

I stacked these with some other decorative books we had. It gives an elegant and neutral look to our shelves. I love these decorate books. They appear like real books but are hollow inside and even open up like a box if you want to use them for storage small items.

Edit: 3/4/25I've had these in my home for about a month now, and although it's not like the bumpiness of the faux pages has changed any, I've discovered that I really do love these book boxes. Instead of having them lying on a coffee table, I now have them standing up, which means that really, the only part that is visible is the front cover and the spine of each book. From the top, the imperfections are less noticeable. The thing that really stands out about these though, is that when standing, there is no risk of the cover falling open because there is a magnet that helps hold everything closed. I don't know how I missed this when first reviewing, and I'm not certain that it says anything about this in the listing, but it's such a nice feature that I thought everyone should be made aware. I'm not changing my rating from 4 to 5 stars because the "pages" are still just as ugly as ever, but just wanted to share that this is a nice, handy, functional discovery and may push this book set slightly ahead of others.I've ordered similar books before, and was really pleased with them, so I wanted another set and thought I would try these.I was glad to see that they were packaged in a rigid cardboard box, since they were shipped in a soft plastic mailer. The exterior box protected the books/boxes inside.The covers of both books feel amazing. They're actually nicer than a previous set of books I purchased beause they're linen. The main issue with these is that the part that would be "pages" is pretty bumpy and uneven. It doesn't lend itself to looking realistic. Otherwise, the interior space of each box is great and they fit all of my remotes and random knickknacks perfectly.If more attention were paid to making the edges of each book look more realistic these would be 10/10 storage books.
