This Stage-1 cold air intake system produces 20 max horsepower, 27lbs. x ft. torque and out-flowed the factory intake by 76%. This system includes a durable 18 gauge, powder-coated heat shield combined with a aluminum cover to keep intake air temperatures to a minimum; Also included is a washable/reusable high flow conical air filter that uses a unique 3-angle filter adaptor that smooths air transition into the intake tract for better performance. The one-piece heat shield requires little or no assembly and the filter is constructed with 100% polyurethane for long life and multiple cleaning cycles. This part here I was hesitant to buy because it was expensive. But I decided to give it a try. The results were noticed immediately, more horsepower and better acceleration. Easy installation, Excellent quality of filter and parts not to mention great look. So if you’re looking for an excellent cold air intake this is it. Fits perfect on my 04 BMW X3 3.0i

Install is strait forward. fit is not perfect, but good. Sounds great when you put your foot in it. But it is not a performance transformation. No real economy benefit either. Do this because you like the sound, a little better throttle response, and it is a great looking addition under your hood.

I had this intake for my 2003 330ci. Fairly easy to install, good fit. Best part is the sound it generates, improving the throttle response some, not a lot. It doesn't give you ridiculous power, just a little more to make you car more enjoyable to drive. I found the fuel economy to improve by only one maybe two miles per gallon, not very significant. Cleaning the filter is extremely easy, and it doesn't take much time at all. Overall its a great upgrade without having any potential adverse effects to your car.
