This was recommended to me by my shop Slow Motion Motorsports. I was a little nervous spending well over 300 for an intake on my NA 2013 Si however the numbers were excellent off this thing. I was able to get 202hp at the wheels using this, a full race down pipe and a Skunk 2 RR exhaust. Most of the time you see 194-198 with the same setup with other intakes so this intake definitely does its job. I chose a 5 star rating because this was an easy upgrade, easy to install with basic tools (took about 15 minutes), quality built. I've had this on my 2012 Civic SI for about 2 weeks now and I've noticed better fuel mileage (about 1-2 mpg), a little deeper exhaust tone and as far as performance goes, I dont have any dyno to prove it but I can feel a better throttle response, better torque especially through the 2500-5000rpm range and just better feel behind the wheel. I think this is definitely worth the money especially considering you do not have to relocate your battery like you would with other intake systems and the "Icebox" design that fully protects the intake from sucking up any water, excessive dust or things of that nature. I also purchased the aFe throttle body spacer for the car and just got it in yesterday. I'll install it today and see if it give even better gains all around.

Crankcase breather hose has to be bent 90 ° because the pipe was manufactured incorrectly. The inlet is welded AFTER the MAF sensor, which should be the other way around. This was very confusing to come around, contacted support, still waiting on a reply.

Love it! Installed it the day I received it. Lost power though, but that's expected with all intakes on the 9th gen Si. Without a tune, you will lose power. But the sound is amazing. Once you kick in to 4RPM, you hear the engine roar.One issue, I did not get any bushings in my package. So I have it rattling around at some points making a sound. Not sure if it doesn't come with them in general, or it's supposed to be like that.

I just wanted to get a little more airflow to my SI to increase the gas milage and maybe get a little better sound out of it. I got that plus a nice punch to the mid to high end torque. The sound of this intake is way better then any open air conical filter it has a very deep throaty sound; not a ricer one. Also installation was super simple took about thirty minutes instructions are very accurate and helpful. My gas milage has increased about 1.4 mpg over the month I have had this intake.

Looks nice in my 13 SI couple. As for performance, no major performance gained if any. Your not going to notice anything major by installing this intake, as for sound maybe a little louder when the Vtec kicks in but thats about it. Price is way to high for what it is.

The intake itself gets 5 stars, but 2 problems with the parts that comes with the intake; first problem is the hoses that come in the package. The smaller hose that you're suppose to use to replace the antifreeze hose was too big in diameter. It is not the proper size for the inner diameter and it is too thick (O.D.) also. Second, the bigger hose for the intake was fine I just couldn't use the stock clamps with the thicker hose. since its just air flowing through that hose its fine but the smaller hose that has antifreeze flowing through has pressure with fluids so I couldn't use the hose they provided. Good thing the stock hose was long enough to use, so I just reused the old hose which is better in my opinion anyway. Other than the hoses not being perfect, the product itself is! I couldn't have asked for a better intake. You definitely get what they advertise. The sound is perfect and the power gain is very noticeable, even without the Dyno test and tune. I recommend this for any person looking for the best air intake for their SI.

First time installing a intake on a car and it went pretty smooth with this one. Not to complicated to install. The performance it offers after your car realizes how much more air it's getting then you get a decent amount of power. It defiantly accelerates better went it hits vtec and it roars! Compared to the stock intake! I would defiantly recommend this product to anyone who has a civic si!!!

The part numbers matched the afe power website part numbers and Amazon was selling it cheaper in Cdn so why wouldn't I try it out for my ILX. It was more than a 2 hour install but mostly because I was not sure how to remove the factory intake box as there were no instructions stating you can simply yank it out as hard as you can. The fitment of the afe intake box was not as exact as the company claims. I was only able to fit the two rear grommets back in. the front one does not line up. The supplied coolant tube is way too thick. Fortunately the factory tube is just long enough. I will probably purchase a longer tube to replace it as there is a slight bend on the tube coming out of the engine as it is stretching to reach the other side. It drives quiet for regular shifting up to 4000 rpm. There is a noticeable sound difference after 5500 rpm. As for performance, I do not think there is a gain of 20hp and 18lbs of torque based on driving and without dyno. I will say it feels more responsive. Overall, I am happy with the purchase.
