...until you sit in it. As soon as I sat in the rocker, I heard a scraping noise when I started rocking. Turns out that the glider portion would twist causing it to rub. I could not fix it and is impossible to place it back in the original packing to return it. Also the springs that are part of the seat are held down with tiny staples. Two of the staples became loose causing the seat unusable. The chair looks gorgeous as it is made with real wood. It seems the quality control of the rocker/glider is inferior. It is for these reasons that I would not buy this chair again. My only choice was to give it to the local Rescue Mission to see if they could fix it and give it to one of their needy families as the ottoman is in good shape. If they cant, dispose of the chair as it is junk. If you wish to gamble on the quality control of your chair and has no problems, it is a nice piece of furniture. The price of $200 is a bit more expensive for this rocker/glider than others on Amazon.
