This made my 2018 Silverado 5.3 V8 actually a V8! Buy it and don’t worry or wait. If you have looked at them just get it. Its awesome when you press that pedal and there’s no lag from 4cyl to v8 and no awkward shifting back and fourth. That alone is worth the money if there was no mpg saving but there is. I get 1-4 mpg better depending how I drive and even saw 6 mpg better on one trip I made.This works as it should and was very easy to install in the truck. I did put it in a few weeks before a big trip I was taking to make sure it didn’t mess with the motor and throw a code but I’ve never had a issue. I do get better mileage now that my truck isn’t searching for 4cyl to save gas for 2 seconds then have a 5 second delay to give me my V8 power back. I do notice my truck seems to shift later when I take off from a stop sign and give it a bit especially if I’m pulling my boat when it didn’t do that before. The only thing I worry about is I’ve noticed my truck when idling in a drive through after driving for a bit it seems like it’s running not rough but not quite right and feels like it’s going to idle too low and shut off. It never has shut off but it does still give me a bit of anxiety when I see it happen each time. Overall I would recommend buying this it works great and for half the price of the Range brand. One thing that actually bugs me but it’s because I’m weird but there are 4 lights on this and I can’t figure out why some times 3 are blue when others it will but just 1 I’ve never see all 4 light up at the same time. Again dumb things like that kinda get to me but In no way does it effect the product 100% recommendation.

Feels solid. LEDs are semi bright but not distracting. Some people had issues with draining battery power if left plugged in. I drive my truck everyday no battery draining. It’s always in. Even if I’m off and it sits for a day or two. Still starts. AFM DOD is not active. Doesn’t fix my lifters but it’s preventing further damage. Cheap hack. You get 5 stars

The first one I got worked one day got a replacement and as of now it stays in v8 all the time will update if something goes wrong..this active fuel management is crap I bought a 2013 silverado z71 with 5300 miles on her not knowing it had this crap on it I am old school never in my life have ever had a vehicle with low miles on it I would have never bought it If i new it had fuel management on it afm I think that what is called lol I love the truck tho but anyways I hope this don't fail the range is to expensive..two weeks in still working

Sending this unit back. Not sure if unit is faulty or there’s a problem with my suburban. Within an hour of installing, my oil pressure gauge quit working and I’ve got a check engine light. Removed unit, and checked with code reader. Got an over voltage to oil pressure sending unit code. Cleared code and restarted car without the unit installed. Still have a non functioning oil pressure gauge and a check engine light. So just from simply plugging unit in I’ve got a whole new set of problems. Not too thrilled about this.
