Oh my! This Djembe is beautifully hand carved and sounds Amazing!! It is more beautiful in person than in picture. It's lightweight enough for me to hold between my legs without getting tired and even light weight enough for me to hold under one arm to drum as I walk. This may be a great size for kids but it's also a wonderful traveling size for adults too. May be small but packs a lot of joyful sound. I can even choose to personalize it and paint it if I wish. Almost second guessed this purchase, so glad I didn't.

A delight! I play harmonica, bough the hands tee holder and now enjoy playing backup with my husband on guitar. I may be in the market. For 1 or 2 more a little larger... also captivated by steel drums.

Exceeded my expectations for the price. Very light weight, great sound (after a little tightening), high quality goat skin head... Not the highest quality craftsmanship in terms of the ornamental carvings, and the top rim of the drum his not completely flat or smooth, but it works great for a travel drum!

I bought this for my 18 month old grandson as a stocking stuffer for Christmas. When he was on vacation in the fall, He enjoyed playing conga drums with his father, so this was a salute to that memory. It was mainly bought for him when he grows up since that’s probably when he would appreciate it for what it is.

This drum doesn’t quite look like the photo. It is also 2†shorter than the specs and the diameter of the head is 8†if you count the ropes and edging. Just wish it had been a little larger. But saying all that, this little drum does have a pretty good sound. I will get a larger when I can.

My boyfriend and I recently ordered this product for our son's first birthday. His dad plays the djembe and our son loves beating on it so we wanted to find an authentic small djembe for him that wasn't to expensive since he is only one. This product definitely delivered! It is truly handcrafted from Ghana with real goatskin. It's not too heavy so our son can easily carry it around with him. It shipped in a timely manner. I will definitely order from them again!! Can't wait to give it too my son! Perfect for small children!

this a very amazing djembe the hide is perfect and everyone you buy helps the people in Africa everything is perfect in every-way it couldn't be better the sound is amazing its great for releasing stress, meditation, talking with spirit guides getting into a trance like state, journeying, and drum circles and there very amazingly hand carved what a great buy
