There is not enough perlite in this mix and it needs to be amended for African violets so water is not held onto (which causes root rot). That’s a definite CON. I’d say PRO wise, it’s a good soil and it has the necessary ingredients for an African violet mix. Most mixes have clumps in them along with some twigs. This mix is no exception, so I sift it through a sand sifter to remove the clumps. This is a good inorganic african violet mix and it’s not priced exceptionally high like many others. This is my stand by mix for my plants.

Very happy with item ordered and with delivery. A large factor in my item decision was that it was made in USA. I would like to see Amazon support more USA made, grown, manufactured items in the future.
