What an amazing gaff. Forget the fact that it's extremely light weigh and incredibly well made, the handle is amazing and very well suited for it's purpose. Ever had a rubber handle of a cheaper variety slip off the shaft at the very last minute? I have. That will NOT be a problem with this and the handle is long enough to accommodate a short grip or a long grip. Expensive, but you gets what you pay for. This is worth every cent as it is a lifetime tool I have no doubt. Just buy it!

I bought this gaff to use for jugging on a pontoon. This thing is awsome keeps you from getting up and down. I hook the noodle put the gaff down. pull it in and hook them with the gaff. It will bend to crazy angle but does not break. I went jugging in NC Lake Gaston. Caught 6 in 30lb range and a 46lb. The hook bent pretty good on the 46lb. but i used the railing to heave it up to get my 2nd hand close to the fish. thats alot of leverage not to break. I gotta say it beats breaking the 2 nets that bit the dust the first time out. By the way it barely floats. I took a pool noodle and put it in the middle. the pool noodle also makes it easier to spot when it goes over board.

This gaff is awesome. High quality workmanship and it works great. Only used it for one day, but hooked few fish in 20-30 lb range with ease. Its definitely have very low water resistance and allowing to aim and hook fish very quickly. I would definitely advise to spend few extra dollars and get this gaff.

Love this gaff. My main use is Alaska halibut. It’s low drag so very quick and precise in the water. It doesn’t take a lot of force to stick a fish and it holds them well. I’ve used on halibut up to 80lbs with no issue. The 6’ is great for getting them before they reach the surface.
