The OBP-3 is Aguilar's most flexible onboard preamp design, providing +/-18dB of cut and boost at 40Hz, +/- 16dB of cut and boost at either 400Hz or 800Hz and +/- 16dB of treble cut and boost at 6.5 kHz. The OBP-3 has multiple wiring options, and can be wired with either a mini-toggle or internal dip-switch for midrange frequency selection.

The OBP-3SK includes stacked Treble/Bass pot, Mid pot, and a black mini-toggle switch for Midrange frequency selection.

I've always been curious to hear what these preamps would sound like. So after hours of researching it on youtube and various reviews, i decided to try it... Well I ordered it and got it quite a reasonable time and I'm from Trinidad and Tobago mind you. came with everything they said it would along with the wiring diagram, although i think the wiring for the blend pot was inaccurate... i installed it in my 6 string Warwick Corvette and all i can say is wow!!!The Warwick always had a great tone but with the OBP-3 it just took on a whole new character. I'm totally sold out to it now.Clean, rich sound and quite versatile... I would recommend it to anyone who's just looking for a little edge...I may consider putting one in my Yamaha TRB. Who knows...lol

Great replacement preamp for any bass needing one.Quiet,a little boost adds a lot,fairly easy for your tech to install. A great upgrade if you're in need of that extra "something".

All I can say is wow, this preamp took my 24 fret Fender Jazz Bass to the next level. The tone is unreal and natural. I recommend this to anyone.
