This cable is long enough to account for the shorter length of the usual keyboard cable; it performs well and is certainly durable with the braided cable. Very good quality and value for the money.

While shopping to upgrade my old Win10 machine from USB 2 to USB 3, I purchased this AINOPE cable along with a USB 3 PCIe Expansion Card, and a USB 3 Front Panel Header.In my research, I found very little, (close to none!), benchmark tests run on many USB 3 devices, such as cables, pcie cards, front panels, even many USB flash drives. It's almost like not many people even care if the devices operate at valid USB 3 speeds! So... I decided that I would post benchmark test results for all puchases made of USB 3 devices starting with this cable.The test was run on a Thinkpad equiped with USB 3.0 ports; and a SSK solid state flash drive ... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C36C8WCX?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title ... (very fast flash drive and this review unintentionally reviews the SSK speed at the same time!)As you can see from the photos, the SSK performed very well on my Thinkpad... and equally well with this AINOPE 10ft cable attached. As far as I'm concerned, there is NO PERFORMANCE HIT due to the cable. In fact, the higher read/write speed was accomplished while using the cable. LOL!I don't run random read/write tests for my own reasons, and I only run a quick test to tell me the basic operation of various devices. To me it's enough to tell me if the device is actually moving data at USB 3 speeds as they claim. Many devices sold on Amazon... don't!This AINOPE cable is a good buy, especially since it was also on sale for only $6.99! I can recommend this cable with confidence! 5 stars!

I have a keyboard that needs two ports, this works barely with them to help extend their reach and lifespan, but I now either lose or gamble functionality of the keyboard’s built-in USB ports. My mouse works fine, but other devices have a hard time being identified if I don’t have them connection prior to boot.

PRO: This is extremely well crafted with excellent build quality. It works for me as an extension to my wifi dongle. CON: The male USB A plug is entirely too tight! I have had to very carefully expand the "A" end so it wouldn't damage my laptop. It is THAT HARD to insert that it frightens my engineer. After fiddling with it for about 20 minutes he got it to go in and out of standard USB ports without unnecessary force. IT'S A QUALITY CONTROL ISSUE.

Actually I've come to appreciate the tactile nature of these nylon braided cables, it feels "nice", also it feels robust. I'm using it to go from the rear ports on my PC to allow me to attach various dongles required for my bike training setup in the shed.It just works really well, Great if like me, you want your PC out of the way, but need to swap dongles on the fly, and your front panel USB ports are full

After having issues with other low quality cords, this is a gem and worth the extra couple dollars for peace of mind.I purchased some much cheaper comparable cords that "found corrupt data" when there wasn't.Also had lower bandwidth for transferring/uploading.Had connection errors despite being plugged in & untouched.They also were flat, I like that this cord is rounded & braided.This cord is made of quality material & have not a hiccup since.Glad I skipped the BS this time.
