I received this item free as an Amazon Vine reviewer and this is my honest review. I only review items I will actually use, and use I do, prior to writing a review.I like having a self-retracting air hose for woodworking projects where I am using brad or staple nail guns. I thought I would try this one out. The pros are it comes with the connectors needed, which look to be solid brass. It was easy to put together with a bit of Teflon tape (pictured). Once assembled and connected to my compressor nothing leaked air. The only negative I can see so far is that in the cold temperatures this is very stiff (pictured). But outside of that I am pleased with this hose.As I do at the end of all my reviews, I ask myself if I would actually purchase this item. Yes, I would buy this.

My expensive Viair air compressor I use to inflate my 22.5" motorhome tires has two of these similar 1/4" hoses that connect together so you can inflate all tires without having to worry about the length (40' coach). The Viair black coiled hoses seem to come apart at the end and mine developed a bad leak. I've only used it a handful of times. This hose seems much better quality than the Viair hoses, which is a disappointment in how much that unit costs. The brass connectors were of the same exact type so I didn't have to swap any fittings out. Make sure you use teflon tape.

It works perfectly for my application, the hose is high-quality Polyurethane and comes with a quick-connect coupler and doesn't leak air. It can be stretched pretty long and don't get tangled up.Durable wire! Very good price! Overall good buy for $19!
