They incorporate a discharge unloader on the body of a pilot valve to allow one valve to sense system pressure and vent discharge air to atmosphere. At load pressure, the pilot valve closes the discharge unloader and the compressor returns to normal operation.

The old unloader valve was not working properly. We spend some time (too much time) trying to fix the old one. I should have just purchased this in the first place instead of waisting time in the beginning trying to fix something that couldn’t be. I installed this in minutes and has been working great for over a month now. I would purchase this again.
