For the price you wont find a better air nibbler. Dies what its suppose to. Cuts thru metal with ease. Built well. Good value for the money.

It's amusing that it says "18 gouge" as that's about all it's going to do, gouge it. It worked fine and rapidly on some 24 AWG sheet metal, but when I tried to push it to the limit on thickness, it'd take a couple of bites and then bog down completely and freeze. I tried slowing down to minimize the bite, but that didn't help. I debated bumping this down to three stars, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and round it up. However, I'm not sure how much use I'll get out of it. I already have sheet metal shears!

Hard to make circle or follow a line. Just keeps getting stuck. Working on sheet metal.Gave up and threw it out the door into the trash. Worst buy yet

It need a learning curve to use it for the first time. It can be hard to do smoother lines at the beginning. It is a cool tool to have if you need to work on metal sheets and knocking off holes. Get ready for some mess too with those tiny bits of metals. Make sure to clean the floor before waking around. It looks much rugged than those brand names but gets the work done.

One of my prized usage tools is a 3-inch cut off tool. I like it so much I just got another one so I could have one handy in the garage, and one in my basement shop. Well, this is not a cut off tool with a 3" spinning disc, but rather a nibbler that has a cylindrical drum that pulsates up and down rapidly. It actually sounds exactly like a speed ratchet for driving sockets. What this does do is give you the ability to cut out complex or curved shapes in thin sheet metal. A cut off tool is limited to the trough the circular blade makes, whereas this air nibbler has no such blade dictating where it is going. At this price point I was surprised at how heavy and substantially well made this tool is. Since you are not dealing with a spinning, wide open blade there is no safety lock on the handle which is nice for getting more work done faster, the whole cutting process is enclosed in the head. You couldn't force your finger in there even if you tried. With clear markings on your sheet metal, a steady hand, and a good eye, you can make some incredibly precise cuts even on a zig-zag pattern. The base of the handle says, "Oil daily". That can make all of the difference in the longevity of the tool. I commonly oil before using a tool, but those who go one step further like to add a few drops of oil, and run through before putting a tool away. Oil not included, but since it is such a universal need, getting a good-sized container of air tool oil is a good investment.

This tool is great. It works really good, even on hard stainless.
