Silhouette target shooting is a fantastic and enjoyable way to gauge and improve your accuracy as a shooter. This set features the shapes of four animals constructed from heavy-duty steel. Set at different distances, the chicken, pig, turkey and ram targets will help you prove to yourself that you're ready for anything.
The first match using metal animal silhouettes was held in 1948 in Mexico City. The targets were originally made for centerfire guns. But because rimfire shooters and airgunners wanted to participate, smaller silhouettes were eventually introduced and placed at closer distances.
There are 4 (four) targets used in silhouette matches: chicken, pig, turkey, and ram. Each target is shot 10 times at the following distances:
- Chicken: air rifle = 20 yd / air pistol = 10 yd
- Pig: air rifle = 30 yd / air pistol = 12.50 yd
- Ram: air rifle = 45 yd / air pistol = 18 yd
- Turkey: air rifle = 36 yd / air pistol = 15 yd
Ram: 2.75" x 3.5"
Turkey: 1.5" x 2.5"
Pig: 2.5" x 2"
Duck: 1.25" x 1.5"

Very nice for air rifle plinking. It is designed to have fun with a friend because as you shoot the targets on one side the targets on the other side appear for your friend. Easy to tell if you hit it or not. Nice quality. Assembly required but it is easy.

Just got these and set them up right away. So much fun to shoot these. I set up a quick short (pistol) range in my side yard and blasted these with my benjamin wildfire. They are a lot harder to hit than I expected. Shooting off hand it took me11 shots to get all 4. Im going to build a longer range for the rifles as I dont have a pistol to shot with. The pistol distances will be good for my granddaughter to hone her skills on. These are well made and I suspect they will stand up to years of abuse. I like the hole in the base so these can be tied off (the chicken took a couple minutes to find in the grass despite the yellow color). Im going to order more of these as we get our range built. Just so much fun shooting.UPDATE: These have suffered 100's of shots from every thing a .177 caliber pellet gun can muster. I have shot them with a low power Beeman P17 putting out 400fps to a high power Hatsan AT44 sending pellets at a 1100 fps. Zero bending or cracks. The paint does not last on these, but a rattle can of $.99 no name brand paint and a couple coats is all it takes to bring these back to life (ok makes them easier to find in the grass). I set them up in my indoor range target of and even blast them indoors in the winter (I now own 4 .177 pistols and a .22) They just take shot after shot. Watch for these to go on sale real cheap and pick up a couple sets (I think they went down to like $5 a set and I bought 4 more sets). These will challenge your skills and improve them.

These steel targets stand up to a .177 pellet @ 640 feet/sec velocity at 10 meters with no damage. FYI: These small targets will go flying off due to their small size. I mounted them on a board using a 3"-4" long piece of small diameter wire attached thru the small hole hole on the target base and the other end twisted around a #6 screw put into the wood board. FYI#2: Yellow nail polish or spray paint for that fresh yellow target look.

Neat little targets make a nice plinking mix with the usual 1.75inch bulls eyes. Work great with .177 lead pellets and really go flying when you smack'em, so you've got to keep track.The paint explodes off immediately, which is somewhat satisfying but obviously will require up keep.Fun for kids of all ages and probably a chocking hazard.

These are so well used that I am in my second set. I shoot a lot of different types of Airguns and shoot frequently enough to break them on their base. Once that happens, I can’t repair them. They take a lot of abuse from powerful new pcp air rifle. Lots of fun to shoot. Try 10 meter minimum for a real challenge.

These are a lot of fun! There is a very satisfying ring when you hit these. I use a Weihrauch HW30S .22 Caliber Air Rifle that generates around 600 fps. when shooting these targets. The paint chips on impact but I expected that. The steel is tough and has held up well with no bends, dents or warps. I would highly recommend this product. A tip that my wife came up with is to tie an 18" piece of string on each target. This makes the targets much easier to find in the grass and brush. She was right and they are very easy to find now.

These are great for .177 air pistol practice. Pellets crack the yellow finish but you have to expect to repaint these periodically. The only “complaint†is have is they are mortised into a slot in the base and I’m skeptical of the staked joint, my old ones were solidly welded. So far these work great after about 200 impacts from .177 pistol and rifle.

I like the target, it is a lot of fun. It does take some power to work. My pellet pistol won't do it. The reason I'm giving it only 3 stars is before the very first time I used it the bottom bracket broke loose from the spot welds and fell off and two others weld had come lose. I liked the target so I re-welded it rather then returning it.Larry3/24/2022I have been shooting this target for three years now and it stays out in the weather 365 days a year. It has and still is working great. I shoot a 22cal air gun at 800 to 900 FPS. Love the target.Larry

Received two sets of these a couple of weeks ago. The targets vary from a large ram all the way down to a tiny chicken (that chicken is small!). They are very well painted (or powder coated) and stand up extremely well to any .177 calibre pellet. The .22 pellets have chipped the powder coating but only slightly. I can see in 4-6 months I may need to repaint them. I didn't expect the finish to be as durable as it is. There has been zero damage to the metal itself from my pellets and I'm not expecting any to show up.Each target has a hole in its base that allows you to tie a cord to it. This is a great idea as it keeps your targets from getting lost in the tall grass. Using thick string may keep the target from sitting evenly so fishing line is absolutely ideal for this purpose.The ram and the chicken are my two favorite targets. The ram makes a decent "gong/plink" noise when hit. The chicken is the star of the show though. IF you can hit it, it will fly off the stand at high speed, come to the end of the cord and bounce back. It's extremely satisfying to shoot the chicken. If they just sold a pack of chickens I'd buy that. They really are that fun.Durable product. Well thought out. Loads of fun. Well finished. Highly recommended and would definitely buy again if mine were ever lost or damaged. Definitely my favourite target over paper, knock down, or shattering targets. Best used with a pellet gun over a bb gun though.
