Self Centering Rope Tow Harness
This tow harness is perfect for pulling 2 person towable tubes, water skiing and wakeboarding, making it ideal for the whole family and all the activities you love. The stainless steel pulley glides along the length of the rope to provide the optimum pull at all times. It’s extremely smooth on turns and never gets caught, offering a streamlined ride every time. Simply clip it onto your boat and attach your ski, board, or tube rope to the heavy-duty Kwik-Connect system. The 6-inch float ensures that the Kwik-Connect stays above water, away from your propeller. At 12 feet long, it’s the perfect fit for a pontoon and larger boats. It has a break strength of 2,375 pounds and comes in a bright yellow color that’s easy to spot.

This worked exactly as I hoped it would. Its a simple device that clips on to attachments on either side of an outboard motor. Then, a ski rope can be attached to the end of the red plastic thing--it centers the tow rope and distributes the force on either attachment point.I use this to pull both skiers and tubers, and it works well for both. One thing that is different from the last one I had is that the red piece has a pulley on it and "rides" along the rope that is hooked to either attachment point. Although this aids in center the tube or skier, it has the result of making it slightly harder to "swing" a pulled tube from side to side which some people like.If I could make one change I would make the hole on the red thing larger to make it easier to hook up thicker rope to, but that's not enough to dock it stars.

This is a great product if you do a lot of tubing or skiiing behind your boat. It works great with an outboard, inboard or inboard/outboard motor. It allows a lot of travel on the rope to avoid any binding or excessive rubbing/wear on the rope. Definitely worth the money, as it simplifies the tying up & removing of the ropes. Cuts down on time so you can enjoy your day on the water even more. The product was delivered quickly & exactly as described. The buoy keep the end of the rope afloat so you can see it & avoid any accidents with running it over/sucking it up into your engine. The clips are large enough to go around the U-bolts meant to secure a tow rope on a Bayliner, which was about my only worry when ordering.

Nicely constructed tow harness. Notice in my first picture- the spring loaded retaining clip does not clear the D ring on my boat transom. I had to take a dremel grinder to it in order to get enough clearance. Works great now. The harness does a nice job of self centering. 12 ft was a good length for my 20 ft center console. I tried the 8 ft harness, but it did not clear my boarding ladder.

Our previous one looked identical but had a plastic coated metal cable. It ultimately got wedged above the gear and stuck in a position. This replacement one we bought is a woven rope (nylon I assume). It does not have the same issue. It’s worked like a charm. It also floats so it doesn’t fall under the propeller when we stop to pickup our fallen tubers.

Works like a champ! I hooked the harness up to the transom eyes. Just make sure the the tubers paddle away from the boat and take up slack. The harness and the rope floats but I just tried to make sure it was well away from the prop. I'm just cautious. Great price and it's a needed accessory if you dont have a tow bar or ski pole.

I highly recommend this. If you tow tubes and the like this is what you need. It keeps the towed item tension centered and appears to be well made. It keeps the boat from having that pull left or right making it a distraction while towing from transom eyes. I have a ski eye but those are never made to take the pull from a tube which is FAR greater the a skier or wake-board. The pulley itself is made of light weight metal material with a plastic wheel but I don't have any issues with it (so far). You do have to watch the initial pull until it has tension otherwise it could get tangled on itself. It does try to float.The only draw-backs to it are what it is intended to reduce and that is the pull from 1 side or the other. It takes some sharp turns back and forth if you want to kick someone out of the wake while towing them. It works a little too well but just takes some practice and a brave soul on the tube lol
