This is a great idea. I was on Japan air when I tried it. I placed my drink on and it worked but it didn’t feel sturdy. If the person in front of me were to push his chair back, it might touch my drink. The stewardess came and asked me to remove it . So maybe it’s not allowed.

I fly a lot and somehow I’ve never came across something like this. I always hate having my miscellaneous things I’ll need during the flight (earbuds case, charger, wallet, etc) in the mesh seat back. I feel like it’s too easy to forget and a pain to get in and out of, especially if you’re using your tray table. I also always get window seats. Of course it’s going to depend on the type of plane and the exact location of the window; if it’s right by your shoulder, this probably won’t work. The sweet spot will be a seat where the window is a bit further forward but not obstructed by the seat in front. It seems strong enough to last a while, just don’t force it because it is still plastic. Not thin, but not insanely strong either

This is very slim and should fit in any carry on. Excited to try it out on my flight next week.

This is a great Idea. Only problem is it doesn't adjust to fit the windows. It too wide for Turkish Airlines. Hopefully it will fit on Delta when I take my next trip. At least it's light and doesn't take up much space.
