It's a thermostat. This particular make is well made and has gone through a bitterly cold winter and hot summer and done its job well. There were no problems in the installation, but the quality can only be determined over time. This one is quality. I hope I don't need to buy another, but I would buy this one if I needed it.

Easiest part of the 105k service on 2011 Outback to install, seems to be working fine - heat is hot, no overheating.

perfect factory replacement thermostat for my 2012 Subaru outback 2.5. Installed with a Aisin timing belt and water pump kit. Japan made.

Product arrived on time with no damages. Looks authentic for what I can tell at least. Absolutely made me realize how different it is from Motorad (junk). Anyone in need of a thermostat for their ej25 I recommend Aisin. Do not buy Motorad vehicle had issues with both (170/192) t-stat. Aisin right Motorad left.

Bought this for a 2012 Subaru Outback 2.5 Liter. It fit perfectly. I got it because I bought the Aisin TFK-600 timing belt with water pump kit. The thermostat is mounted in the water pump and the kit comes with a gasket. I was not having problems with my old thermostat but figured since I would already be in there to go ahead and change it too. I've had it in for about a week now with temps being in the high 80's and it has worked as it should so far. Also, this company provides parts for the factory so these are OEM.
