We attempted to use this in the Chicago Suburbs as part of a hummingbird water fountain. The system did a great job in direct sunlight. Clouds or tree shade rendered the system to no working as there was not enough energy to convert to drive the pump. I ended up changing over to a USB pump (wired) so the fountain could facilitate operating in all conditions and keep the water move for the hummingbirds and to stave algae growth. I think the product works, but our use case asked more of the product than it was capable.

These do a great job on my DIY fountain leading into a small bird bath in my back yard. So far it's been in use for over a month and it's worked consistently. It has the power needed to carry the water up 3 feet to the top of the fountain. The kit came with plenty of fittings and tubing to do what I needed it to do. Another great feature is the auto shut off. My fountain isnt very deep, and during the 100 degree heat, i wasnt thinking about refilling it.Well water evaporated and the pump stopped running. I was qorried at first, but then realized it only turns on of water is contacting the pump which is awesome. The #1 reason for pump failure is running them dry, and with this you wont have to worry about it I have no complaints, and I'll be buying another set if I have another fountain project in the future.

It worked great for a few months and has stopped working. I bought three different size pumps and only one with a different brand solar panel is still working.

I thought I could keep the panel in the sun to use it most of the day, but even with the extra long cord, I'm not able to. I cannot fault the pump, it works great if you have sun. Just measure the distance where you will be putting the solar panel. I am still going to be able to use it, just in a different place. It comes with lots of attacments, I am using one on another of my usb pumps. It is an excellent buy, just be sure of your panel placement.

I like the idea...however, living in reality where clouds are a real thing, if you do not have 100% sun (no clouds, no shade), do not have high expectations. When there is full sun on the panel, it works well. Otherwise, it barely runs. There is no 'battery' that gets charged in case you do have a cloud or two so it all but stops running. The very irritating part though was the tubing provided does not fit the nozzle pieces. I wanted a solar pump to make a small bird bath/water decoration. I am having to constantly move the panel so it gets 100% sun, I had to get an adapter to use the nozzles, and not all of them work with the adapter, so I'm limited there as well. I figure I'll keep this for now, but certainly would not recommend it to anyone else and will likely have to find a better option at some point.

Item was as described, and works perfectly for an older solar fountain I had where the solar panel is past it's prime. Thinking of getting another one for another area in my yard. I'm impressed it made my old fountain usable again! At first look at the small pump, I thought the pump might not have enough power to pump up a hose about 6 inches long to reach the upper portion of my fountain but it works great. I actually don't mind that the clouds prevent it from running continuously as it doesn't have an off/on switch so if I forget to flip the solar panel around, it's not running on the rainy/cloudy days when I'm not outside enjoying the sun. Can't say if the suction cups work well as my fountain has a rough surface so I didn't even try.

Did work fine for just slightly more than a month. Then, all of the sudden it completely broke down. Avoid!!!

Lo compré para hacer mi balcón más bonito y ha sido un acierto total. La cosa que no necesite enchufarse y que con un plato de buen tamaño grande y bonito eche agua como una pequeña fuente es increÃble, de hecho estoy pensando en poner mi pequeña tortuga en el plato para que lo disfrute también. También comentar que no todo es bueno, si no hace pleno sol no funciona bien y la placa solar hay que limpiarla de vez en cuando, aunque creo que estos dos puntos son lógicos. En fin en general bastante contento con el producto y más cuando se acercan algunos gorriones y golondrinas a beber.
