I've been using the AKASO Brave 8 Action Camera for a while now, and it's a game-changer. Whether you're an amateur or a professional videographer, this camera packs a punch with its advanced features and reasonable price. I'm going to break down my findings into 6 categories, this is a must read if you are on the fence about this camera1. Design and Build QualityThe first thing I noticed about the Brave 8 is its sleek and durable design. It's built to handle the rough and tumble of outdoor adventures. Its compact size and lightweight feel make it easy to carry around and mount anywhere, from my helmet to my body harness. Plus, with its waterproof housing, I can take it up to 33 feet underwater without any worries—perfect for my beach trips.2. Video and Photo CapabilitiesWhen it comes to capturing moments, the Brave 8 doesn’t disappoint. The 48MP sensor produces incredibly clear and detailed photos. For videos, it supports 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, which means my footage always looks smooth and lifelike, even during fast-paced action shots. I also love the variety of shooting modes available, like time-lapse, slow motion, and burst mode, which give me plenty of creative options.3. Image StabilizationOne of the standout features for me is the advanced image stabilization. It dramatically reduces camera shake, so my videos are always smooth and stable, even when I’m hiking down a rocky trail or skiing. This feature alone has made a noticeable difference in the quality of my videos.4. User Interface and ConnectivityNavigating the camera is a breeze thanks to its intuitive and responsive touchscreen. I can easily switch between settings and modes without any hassle. The Wi-Fi connectivity is another great feature—it allows me to transfer files and control the camera remotely using the AKASO GO app. This makes managing and sharing my footage incredibly convenient.5. Battery Life and AccessoriesThe Brave 8 comes with a solid battery life that lets me shoot for extended periods without constantly needing to recharge. The package also includes various accessories, like multiple mounts and an extra battery, adding value and flexibility for different shooting scenarios.6. Performance in Low LightI’ve been impressed with how well the Brave 8 performs in low-light conditions. The high-quality sensor and advanced processing capabilities mean that my night shots and indoor footage are clear and detailed, with minimal noise.***Final Verdict***All in all, the AKASO Brave 8 Action Camera has been an excellent addition to my gear. It delivers top-notch performance across the board, with high-resolution imaging, impressive stabilization, and user-friendly features. Whether I'm exploring the outdoors or just capturing everyday moments, this camera has proven to be reliable and versatile. With its durable build, extensive accessory kit, and great price, the Brave 8 is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to capture high-quality action footage.

So just as background info, I am not a blogger, extreme sport enthusiast, or wild weekend outdoor warrior. I do like to sometimes take videos and pictures when kayaking in the wilderness, biking on nature trails, and snorkeling when the water conditions are right. Up till now I have been able to get by with a 10+ year old Go-Pro unit, and was OK with the results. An acquaintance recommended trying this new Akaso Brave 8 Lite, and I am TOTALLY impressed. Will try to give some of the highlights here:1) The base package includes an extraordinary number of accessories including TWO rechargeable batteries, multiple mounts and brackets, a camera frame and a wrist wireless remote. Recommend you definitely buy a camera/accessory case to keep all the stuff organized.2) The only instructions in the box with the camera was a basic pictographic foldout, which was adequate to get orientated and operational. The main instructions are a download pdf from Akaso. While many techno-item instructions are disorganized, confusing and written by ESL individuals, these are clear, well organized, and even provide some summary pages for quick reminder reference. Probably some of the better instructions I can recall with ANY electronics purchase I have made.3) The abundance of technical features and capabilities of this camera are just WOW, WOW, and WOW. Comparing my older generation Go-Pro unit to the Brave 8 Lite with s is like comparing a Piper Cub to a Star Wars X-Wing Fighter . The Brave 8 Lite has 4 Field of View ( aka zoom) levels (Ultra Wide, Wide, Portrait and Narrow), resolution up to 20MP/4K, 3 Inage Stabilization options, both backside and front screens (which help ensure you stay in the scene when filming selfies), 512GB storage card capacity with real time memory remaining gauge, WIFI connectivity using App, wrist band remote control, responds to voice commands, multiple slo-mo and fast-mo settings, tons of exposure setting options……… Are you starting to get the picture? It is the awesome range of options and capabilities, combined with the previously mentioned really decent and well organized downloadable instruction guide that makes this truly a powerhouse of a mini action camera. All I can say in summary is that this outfit should handily meet my current and future needs, and as a huge safety net, it comes with actual phone number/email customer support, and a one year warranty (that looks like it is extendable to two years with the included promo card). So far I am really pleased and impressed with the purchase. Do your own research, and consider getting one. I doubt you will be disappointed.

If you are looking for a high quality, compact, budget friendly, easy to use action camera; then look no further my friend. Right off the bat, once you open the box, Akaso gives you about 90% of the equipment you will need to place the camera pretty much anywhere. I absolutely love the wireless wrist remote, which comes in handy when you are in the middle of your activity. They even give you an extra battery so you can keep the action going without waiting for a full charge. Brave 8 Lite feels durable and sturdy so you know it can survive a harsh fall incase you drop it by accident. The video looks absolutely incredible, especially when you have it set to 4K at 60 frames per second, and I love all the different options you have from HDR, time-lapse, slow motion, etc. One of the best parts I think is the AKASO GO App. Not only are you able to control Brave 8 Lite with your phone, but you are able to edit videos on the go with the App. It's so convenient and useful especially when you have to post on social medial right away. I also gotta mention the Akaso App community is awesome! Everyone posts regularly and they got amazing content! Overall it's like what I said, "It's a very good, high quality camera, if you are looking for something that takes it easy on the pocket."
