Didn't separate before using (first time) held for a few minutes and then bursted. After I figured it how to screw pieces into the house held like a champ !

Left hand thread on the outer piece! Don't drive yourself nuts like I did. Worked great after I figured that out

I had a large man-lift go down because of a hose blowout. With the lift inoperable it’s impossible to replace the hose so I used the 3/8 option. I used a Milwaukee 12v sawzall with metal blade and it quickly cut the line. The outer fitting went on easy by hand to start and finish with an ajustable wrench. Iner insert went in easy and repeat for the other end. All in it took maybe 10 minutes to complete. I’m not sure this would be a long term fix but my hose is about toast so I’ll have another made and replace but love that this piece is reusable. I’m sold!

Did not fit all the size hose thicknesses listed. Bought this to temporarily repair by buddies tractor I was borrowing and it did not fit the hose. I ended up being down an extra day and had to go to CAT to get a hose made.
