The mat is beautiful! Covers a good area. It comes compressed and has deep folds. Many people complained the mat would not flatten after sitting out for several days.I took a steam iron and used an old thick towel as a pressing cloth to flatten it out. If you decide to try this do NOT let direct heat touch the fabric, try steaming at your own risk! It rolls up easily and fits well in the carrying bag.Not only good for play Mahjong, but a nice mat for all sorts of other games.

It seems nice and is pretty. Tiles slide over it easily. I didn't notice, however, that it did not include a carrying.

1. Stitching or serging on the border of the mat is damaged or incomplete in multiple places exposing the unfinished edge. Possibly a defect. I will be returning primarily for this reason.2. Wind characters placed incorrectly for standard mahjong mat. They should be East, South, West, North running counter-clockwise in accordance with the seating winds in standard mahjong games. They should NOT be laid out in the order of a compass rose like one would find on a map.3. Mat arrived folded and heavily creased. Should have been rolled up in the bag that came with it. A bumpy uneven and creased mat is functionally useless. Tiles can't stand up on end on a bumpy mat.

This is pretty and substantial. It was folded when received. I laid it our flat for a few days and then put in the dryer with dryer balls and it is perfectly flat now.

Wonderful mat made very well i wish you would have rolled it up and shipped it that way no wrinkles our folds that's the only down side .

Unfortunately I missed the return by date . I weighted the mat for a month and it still won’t lay flat . Also a little larger than a card table . I would not recommend .

It's a great sized mat and great thickness, but it is packaged poorly. It was folded in the shipping package instead of rolled up into the provided carrying bag. I followed the instructions it came with on how to fix the creases but it is still not flat.
