I'm a bit over cautious as a parent, but my 7 year old son really wanted this for Christmas, so I went for it. Now, he's an active kid, fairly athletic and strong. Still, I expected him to fall flat on his butt the moment he tried to use these as he's had trouble picking up roller skates, a bicycle, a two-wheeled scooter, or a skateboard. Instead, he picked it up very quickly and still likes roaming around the house on these. Maybe wheels aren't his thing. Anyway, I guess he would consider them pretty easy to use and fun. Now, we haven't pulled off the feet and changed them to their more advanced form, so maybe he'd find that trickier. They seem very sturdy, and the easiest settings puts your feet 5 or so inches off the ground.

These were such a great gift. They are a real challenge for my boys (4 and 6), but incremental progress keeps them, and all their friends interested enough to keep things fun.The stilts set up in minutes. You really only have to slide or screw a few things into the main shaft of the stilts and you're done. An allen wrench is included with the kit, so you can literally open the box and have these things assembled in about three or four minutes. If it takes you longer than that so get these things put together... well, I'm afraid you may be a dum-dum... sorry to be the one to let you know. The stilts have "feet" which make learning to walk on them pretty easy. Once the boys have mastered the stilts with the feet on, off they come and the boys will have a new challenge learning to walk on just the ends of the main shafts. The stilts also have little handles that make it easier for the kids to hang onto the main shaft of the stilts. We love these things. They're cool, they're an outside toy and no one else around here has them... they rock.

I bought the toy for my nephew for his 6th birthday. (the kid doesn't have balance to save his life). He had a blast with it. Actually we all had a blast. Grandpa even jumped around on it for a while, along with all of his aunties. Probably not a great idea, since it's a child toy and we are all 140lbs or more. It did not break though. We did have to super glue the rubber stoppers on. But that being the only problem we came across. Great price. Great Fun.

We got these for our 6 year old daredevil for Christmas, as stilts were at the top of his wish list. They are perfect size for him (he's a tall 6 year old). We had the bottoms set as trainers and instantly he was walking around on them. A day and a half later we changed the bottoms to pegs, and although trickier, he was immediately walking around on those too. They seem very sturdy and well built. My 11 year old has had a good time on them too but we've had to shoo him off since he's at the max weight limit. I'm sure most kids would be happy walking around on these forever, but I think mine will be wanting something higher eventually. The only thing I would change about these is that they would have optional extensions available.

Stilts were made fairly well, but recommended age is 5+. My Pre-K, K & 1st graders really struggled with them because it still requires balancing skills. Basically played with them as crutches. Purchased as a gift, though would not have purchased impulsively due to price. It probably did not see much play time after the party as it was simply too hard for them to enjoy.

I have 4 kids, ranging from 6-13; I game them this for Christmas, as I am always looking for healthy outdoor pursuits for them to entice them off of their tech and TV. They all love it! It is definitely challenging, and obviously more difficult for the 6-year-old, but my boys, ages 11 and 9, picked it up very quickly and walk around the kitchen on them. We live in the Midwest which is not conducive to things like this at the moment as we are currently blanketed with snow and ice outside. But they are easily kept out of the way just now in a corner and we found the kids can grab them and go around the kitchen table very easily with these, so they should definitely do well outside come spring. They are very interchangeable for their age ranges--push the lock-in button to adjust the poles higher or lower, and you can easily change from the T-shaped "training-wheel" type tips that have more support to the more challenging rubber tip. Love the bright colors, they will be easy to find should the kids leave them laying around outside. Quality is very sturdy and appears well-made to last awhile.

My daughter loves these stilts we bought her for Christmas but the metal was cut wrong and we aren’t able to put on the pieces that make the stilts have two points on the ground. I would have returned them but my daughter wanted to start right away so has been using them the way they are even though one side is longer than the other. I think she would have been more successful with the beginner ones though.

Originally bought this as a gag gift for my fiance's younger brother since he hasn't hit his growth spurt yet but he absolutely loved it! The stilts are heavy duty & seemed to work just fine. Not much assembly required & loads of fun! & i loved these even more because it's inexpensive! Would recommend.

My kids loved it. It is easy to assemble and easy to learn. In a matter of a day, my kids were walking all over the place. Worth it.

We bought these stilts for our 5 year old grandson. His 8 year old sister immediately started walking around on them, and a few days later the 5 year old was doing so too. This is a toy that kids really use and enjoy.
